@mevza37 honestly, i wouldnt recommend using divx anymore cuz sometimes it doesn work with vegas. just record it, render it it virtual dub uncompressed, and then just use sony vegas to render it in 720p hd 29.97 fps in mp4 at 8mbps

@KrazedXbox you can do into sony vegas, click on the clip, click "u" on your keyboard to ungroup the audio and video, and move around the audio until it is fixed. unless you have a windows XP computer which is what i used when i used to use the dazzle and i had no audio problems

@xMichaelPx I live in sweden(europe) and that is a pal land. But I have use amcap and set it to secam b everytime with composite to get colour. I have tried the same for s-video many times. But it's still black and white... But when you told me to do this. I know that you don't know what the problem is. It's probably something wroong with my dazzle. Thanks anyway

@xMichaelPx Sorry but it can't be the problem because my old s-video worked with colour on my easycap dc60. But I bought a ney s-video to try it anyway. But it's still black and white.

You knw when I have my compsite cables plugged into my dazzle and go to amcap. It says input signal 576 OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. But with my s-video it say the input signal is 0 but the display on my software is black and white. I have tried to press my s-video harder to get it more into the dazzle.ButStillNothing

at 0:49 you have the video standard as NTSC_M, mine is at PAL_B and i cant change it... this is also affecting the frame rate which is locked at 25.000 and the output size which cant be sized to 720x480 for some reason.... what have i done wrong???

@nugentboy well if you live in europe its different but im my opinion better. in america its 480i at 30 frames per seconds, but in europe its 576i at 25 frames per second so your quality will look better but its framerate will be a little less :D

@byGraphiq For vac you may need to install the drivers for audio. Google "Dazzle dvc 100 drivers" and look for something at pinnacleDOTcom. Then with VAC running in the background You would use virtual line 1 as input for Vdub

@Slatniik i think it just depends on what operating system your have, and how ur computer registers the USB2.0 Device. on my Windows XP comp, the cropping isnt that bad, but when i record with Win7, i have to crop more (on the top and sides)

@xBVK when u put it in virtualdub u upscale it and deinterlace it. deinterlacing is a must, and upscaling makes it have a little sharper quality, and it helps to keep that quality uploading to youtube. divx saves the original file with a compression, so it doesn't take up alot of space, as well as helps to put less strain on ur computer, so it can record without dropping or inserting frames

i also dont have the same deinterlacing options as you... but i have the same version VDub as you. the options i have are:

blend modes together, duplicate fields 1 or 2, discard fields 1 or 2, unfold fields side by side or fold side-by-side fields together... and there isnt another column saying field order on the right either >:(

@nugentboy um ok, try this then....take the interlaced video and dont do anything to it. Put it in sony vegas and DONT USE 720p if its interlaced. Use the 1920x1080x60i PRESET and then go to .mp4 and RENDER in 1920x1080 with UPPER FIELD FIRST as your FIELD ORDER

this will get rid of the lines without blurrying the video and will even do a better job than VDub :P

@justQuazeh because virtualdub records in AVI which records like 1gb a minute of video which is HUGE, so divx compresses it to a manageable size while keeping the quality good
