@ollie010222 the engines in both the reventon and SV are based on the same v12 - the engine in the reventon is sourced directly from the lp 640 whereas the SV's v12 gets vavlve-timing and intake upgrades. we'll have to wait until top gear gets their hands on a reventon to see whos quicker. but yeah, theyd be real close.

You'd be suprised as one comes up for sale every few months. In fact #03/20 has appeared on eBay at least 4 times since late 08 so the chance of owning one is actually quite good. Pending you can afford the near $30,000 a year for maitenance, insurance and gas. Must have an enclosed garage for it with a security system as well kept at like 65 F 24/7/365. Also, you can only put about like 50 or so miles a year on it.

Maybe carbon fiber is tough but not as rigid as steel, maybe they needed to make it from steel to distribute the weight on to the wheels properly. I personally don't know why they made it the way they did, but obviously engineers at Lamborghini aren't your usual mechanics and I think, if they thought that fitting Reventón with carbon fiber chassis would of been better than steel, I'm sure they would of done that.

Lamborghini is not even a true Italian super car anymore. The days of the 300GT, Islero S. Jarama GTS, Espada, Miura and Countache are long gone.
