hey can you tell me more about the fingerprint reader, how does it work? did it cost extra for the external drive? thanks im looking to buy this great video
Extremely interested in this machine. Almost all the issues with the TX2 are fixed. The digitizer is improved (it has two of them, one great wacom for pen and one capacitive for multitouch), the processor is cooler (the AMD in the TX2 could burn your finger sometimes), aluminium case (the TX2 was in crappy plastic) and a better graphics chip (the TX2 used an old HD3200). If only I had the cash, I'd run to the store right now.
(The freebie laptop cover) "It's uh ..quite nice" -toss to the side- haha. Thank you for the unboxing moment! So 4 months later, how are you liking the laptop still? What have you learned about it? What's the best feature you like the most? Any negatives about the laptop that you can share with us? Is there that blue ring around the power plug when you plug it in?
I am so interested in this machine, please post us more videos about it, there is going to be a processor update on this, and I really want to buy the cheaper one now, and get rid of my netbooks ... update my tx2...
it is about $700 now, here ins the USA, I hope I can get it at that price!!!
How bad is the screen reflection?
Do you think the processor is fast enough? i am planning on su9600, about $800with that and 2 batteries~!!!!
@inventorOz84 Thanks. Whilst the unit is on the screen reflectiveness isn't much of a problem. The processor is fine and can run lots of high end apps at the same time i.e Visual Studio, Expression Blend, PowerPoint Fireworks, Photoshop, Word, IE.
Great unboxing. I'm planning to buy this exactly model from amazon soon, but I've heard alot of bad things about the touchpad. How was your experience with it?
@tobsmonster2 Thanks. At first I thought it was awful and it was awqward to use but after a few hours I managed to get the hang of it. What I have found is that the trackpad it's self isn't that bad, it's the multi-touch drivers for it that can cause issues, as sometimes it thinks you are scrolling or zooming. The TX2s trackpad was better but the TM2s is OK. The laptop overall is a wonderful thing to use especially when surfing the web.
@soulcalibur22 I am sure the prices will jump quite a bit. Amazon just raised it's prices yesterday. But who would want an AMD processor my old TX2 had one of those and it got so hot you could burn yourself on the bottom of it.
@techticker Actually thats a stigma thats been lost over the last 4 generations of chips. And its a Phenom X4 its faster than the i3 moble it would be the highest one. You should get more current.

Be careful with this product, the screen will eventually crack when you close it. It is a design flaw and HP warranty does not cover it
