I don't quite agree with your comment on the $110 pricetag being as cheap as they get; there are other alternatives such as the noppoo or the poker. Even for a tenkeyless model; there is the cm quick fire pro which you can get for under $80 from some places at the moment.

So can you define "mechanical keyboard"? Also, from your recording it sounded quite loud, about the same as my Logitech, for comparison.
Doing a bit of research I found the following categories for the Leopold keyboards:
1) tactile force,
2) linear force,
3) linear touch,
4) tactile touch,
5) tactile click
If you have experience with these various kinds, a review that demonstrates the differences would be useful.
