  • It's an interesting intellectual exercise, but you're essentially creating a new dance and losing the aspects that make Lindy Hop what it is.

Yes you CAN dance to this music, but why would you want to?

  • @lindyhop411 Cos it is fun.

  • @lindybeige You can also try out Brubeck's "Unsquare Dance" which is 7 beat.

  • Is the lady very short, or are you very tall?

  • @Kylef7735 6'3" and 4'11".

  • @lindybeige Ahh, so both! Haha

  • Not really worth it to practice new footwork for just 1 song... 5 beat swing doesn`t exist outside of that one song.

All regular moves work just fine on this song, no need to change everything like that.

Or if that`s what makes you happy you could always to 7 count lindy to traditionnal greek songs :)

  • There are other five-beat songs. What about the Mission Impossible Theme?

  • OK.. that was freakin' cool. Rock-step step brush and step. Even Frankie didn't get that stuff

  • Was the girl dancing at Lindy at the light last december? If so she is a really cool dancer, I remember her

  • Aaah - great! I've thought once in a while on how to make anything out of this dancing Lindy Hop...

  • is this for real?

  • It is almost entirely 'for real', but if you look carefully, you'll see that we are both wearing false heads.

  • Oh ok.. where did you get those? they look awesome. I've never been able to find one that doesn't have the "bobble" effect..

  • You'll have to shop around. I was lucky, because I have a friend whose father is a professional header.

  • 5 beat jive/Lindy Hop-dance
