Carlson got a bad rap JUST because of the Stewart thing, and of course a bunch of people who only watch The Daily Show immediately had their thinking done for them and agreed with Stewart sight unseen, all they knew about anything was that their sacred cow Stewart, who is holy to them, doesn't like someone, so they won't either.
Tucker is the one who really scares those in power, not Jon Stewart. "Crossfire" wasn't perfect, but when you're America's Light 'n' Fluffy Sweetheart, you have to shut up whenever someone who makes the effort to be tough and serious enters the room.
To coolmanwc4: I agree that Jon Stewart was raising a valid point about the nature of Tucker Carlson's show. However, there is a time and a place for everything. There are many venues where Jon Stewart could have raised the issue of the show, but raising questions like that on the show itself, I think, was very disrespectful; he was a guest.
John Stewart had, in fact, expressed his view on Crossfire and other sensationalistic 'news' programs before on his own show and elsewhere. If you watch the clip of the crossfire episode when he confronted Carlson Stewart begins the show by telling the hosts that he has critisized their show before. As well the very nature of Crossfire was that of a debate show, not a talk show. Because of that I think Stewart was entirely within his right to confront Carlson on Crossfire.
Tucker is a hack. Jon Stewart criticized tucker for not asking hard hitting questions. Jon Stewart hosts a fake news comedy show, people don't tune into his show for serious discourse about the news. They tune into Tucker and CNN for the real news. He seems like a lame guy. He didn't appreciate his college education, drank the whole time. He criticized students for being INVOLVED in politics. The college years are some of the only years where a student has the freedom to participate. Lame
Did you feel attracted to Tucker in these sweet moments? I like to call him Tucker because the bow tie breeds familiarity. My attraction to him is disconcerting, especially since I perceive some weight gain there.

I hate Tucker Carlson, but have to admit I find him likable in this video.

I was surprised how likable he was in person. And he ties on a bowtie so gingerly!

Tucker is a pretty good guy, at least he says what he means instead of hinting at it.

Jon Stuart came on crossfire and kicked Tucker in the balls. Tucker looked like he wet his pants. It was awesome.

The interviewer is clearly gay and in love with Tucker. Nothing wrong with that of course ...
