another amazing performance from the king of WurliTzers Mr Kelsall MBE! The UK's top organist! Thank you 'Blackpool35' for excellent videos of the Maestro at the WurliTzer! :-)
worked in the tower ballroom bar in the late 1980's early 90's for a couple of years, left to have my children & then moved away.. must say they were the best years of my life.. & phil kelsall is just the best ever.. if I could do it all again I would in a heartbeat!! loved every minute & this really takes me back.. thanks for posting!
Liam, they are : When You're Smiling, If You Knew Susie, Five Foot Two, Eyes Of Blue, Romeo, Sweet Sue, Just You and Japanese Sandman......in that order !
i must admit as an organist added rhythm when playing sometimes can give the organist an extra boost which comesthrough in the music....but ive gotta say that phil kelsall heres absolutely on top form, top notch thanks for posting very much gratefull....ps i have also never seen this this happen in the ballroom the times ive been there
This has often been done in the past with Chris Hopkins accompanying Phil for the last dance before the changeover, which is quite often this particular dance, the Mayfair Quickstep. This medley was pre arranged for the purpose of filming the clip!
Thanks Blackpool35. I am always on the look out for new tunes for the oldies to dance to. not that the Yamaha Electone give the smae sound as the Wurlitzer, but it goes down well all the same. Romeo. Thats one for Musis In Print to find me. If not I am sure I can pick it out "by ear". Fingers (!) crossed.
Bit different. Yes of course and nice to hear both organs in "harmony". Although I have to agree that Phil without the Wersi fart box would have been better. Before you all start to hate me I think the Wersi has its place, but just not played alongside the Wurlitzer. Only my opinion and regardless, a wonderful quickstep medley.

Gary, the tune following '5ft 2' is called 'Romeo'. 'If You knew Suzie' is tune number 2 in this medley.

Does anyone know the name of the song that Phil plays after "5 foot 2 , eyes of blue"? Like it but stuffed if I know what it is!
