Yeah my dad was there and he said that Owen hit the turnbuckle and then fell into the ring but the sad thing was that people were clapping and cheering for like about 5 seconds until they realized it was real.

Wasn't this particular scene supposed to happen?? I thought that the whole point of the parody was for Blue Blazer to get beat up by Blackman in this joke. He didn't fall and hit anything here and even the commentary was rehearsed.
The real people who have no soul are those 1,935,022 who went to the featured video after this with hopes of seeing a man fall to his death.

Bret Hart was already signed with WCW at the time and he wanted to leave with the WWF Championship (a major no no). He was being ignant so Vince tricked him into thinking that he would win by DQ after HBK puts on the Sharpshooter and gets reversed but BH would be injured and give up the title.

there is no way the show should of gone on. and as brett hart rightly said, if shane mcmahon would of fell from the ceiling, the show would of been stopped then.

@CODLiver0ils I was not there but I have read several accounts of the accident and that seems to be the way all the stories go. There was video of the accident but the WWF gave it to Martha Hart and she is supposed to have destroyed it. If they kept a copy for themselves I do not know.

@CallumMoran91 Actually, Taken from Foley's book, he his his neck on the turnbuckle, and fell into the ring, attempted to sit up but went flat out, he was alive when he was wheeled out, but died later on in the night/event, if you don't believe me, read it up in Mick Foley's Book (who was Mankind at the time of the accident)

Vince did not KILL Owen. It was an accident.
Vince screwed Bret, no doubt about it.
Vince didn't throw any good wrestlers out, when they demanded more money or a change in contract, he denied it, as was his right.
The storyline with Jeff leaving was so that he could heal, as he had a neck injury and two herniated discs in his lower back.

you can see in the background this was on sunday night heat at survivor series 1998. I dont understand why would he have been practicing this stunt before he had jeff jarrett as a tag team partner, so there would be no debra angle even thought of yet and this was 6 months before his death, so i dont know.
