But in real life, he was friend of India's PM Rajiv Gandhi (who was son of Indra Gandhi - also PM)
In 1984 Indra Gandhi was shot by 2 Sikh bodyguards(there were reasons for that) & hindu crowd was upset, in that situation he worked like a catalyst in provoking the crowd against Sikh mass killing in the capital of India.
He(& a minister) gave a very emotional & violent speech outside the hospital, where Indra Gandhi was admitted & the RIOTS started there after.
