IMO Marshall's aren't the best for newer metal. They are great, but more for classic stuff. Mesa and peavey 6505 have taken over.

@jma111000 mesa is so much better and versatile. with marshall's all you get is the same stupid crunchy mid tone unless you use different settings. peavey is shitty. way too trebly and too much mids for me.... rivera is very very very badass. mesa is amazing, so are the high quality randalls.

Fuck, I wish I could pull those pinch harmonics out of the guitar like Zakk does! And his vibrato is so wide and tight, meaning it stays in key the whole time, not easy to do. One of the best ever!

Zak is a speed and tone genius just like one of his heros the late great gary moore slash is not as accurate finger wise zak is way faster and the little hendriks bit he did shows you hes also a master mimic but hey i love them both but it would be silly to compare the two apart from saying the both play gibsons.

@jw11432 Hell yeah brother. I made the "It's got Marshall written on it" mistake long ago. The high end stuff is badass, but the lower end MG series is shit. The only exception would be the Dave Mustaine 15W MicroStack. That is a killer little stack, which you could record an album with. I have a little 5w Line 6 and a Squire Strat that I travel with because they sound decent and if it gets stolen or damaged, I am not out anything.

The exact same thing here. I bought an Epiphone Les Paul and the MG15. I was so happy. I kept thinking "Fuck yeah, a Les Paul and a Marshall! Now I can rock it out..." 15 minutes after I plugged in, I was going "What the fuck was I thinking?" NOT the same as the real thing. Never again. I saved and got the Marshall Slash AFD100, a 412 cab and a Gibson Les Paul. Now I am blowing it out large time. Save your money and get the good shit. No comparison.
