@xxwakeboarderxx A whirlybird is not a tantrum plus 360 --> the tantrum is just to get you in the right position. So you start of as if you would do one, but you do not finish it. It's basically to get you in the back-facing-water-position and then you pull the handle accross your face to get into the 360 spin :-)
@AEnntchen13 Yes and no, a whirlybird is a tantrum while doing a back 360. BUT, since these tricks are tough to nail every time we get slack about if it is a true tantrum or not. Also this is cable which pulls you in towards the center hard. So its really hard to make a perfect vertical tantrum with one hand.
If two people did a whirlybird and one did them completely vertical. I would give the person who did a vertical tantrum the upper hand.
Well I guess that depends on strength etc. all these things, it might also be a individual thing. My boyfriend has been riding cable every weekend (well except for winter lol) since last summer and by the end of last years' season he had his tantrum vertical and he also does is with one hand ;)
But this is not about the tantrum but the whirly, soo... if I get that right, you would give the person who does the whirly vertical the upper hand? ^^ I'm confused :p
@AEnntchen13 Ya i was describing how i would like to see the Tantrum base of the Whirlybird to be vertical. So the Whirlybird would be vertical too. The more vertical you make the whirlybird, the bigger it looks. And we all know bigger is better... in wakeboarding.
