I've always heard that even Microsoft uses AMD based systems, not Intel, unless something has changed. Intels are for Macs. The overpriced CPU belongs to the overpriced computer. Who really cares about the Nehalem CPUs when you have to dig deep into your wallet just to buy the CPU. You shouldn't do this test as it is not a fair test. Core i7 is using DDR3 Tri-channel while Phenom still DDR2 Dual Channel.

Intel copy "AMD Hyper-transport" and make "Intel Quick-Path". About 5 years ago Intel said that increasing the L2 cache will improve performance which is not a need to have Inter-graded Memory controller.

Hyper-Threading is splitting each Core to 2 Logical core.You don't really see much improvement in Home/Gaming system but get performance drop. It only improve for server usage.

you're wrong. Hyper threading and hyper transport is COMPLETELY different.

hyper threading is a virtual core added on/multi threading. Hyper transport is a direct communication line between the cpu, ram, and the gpu if i'm not mistaken. (AMD has onboard mem controller)

You can't really "steal" true quad-core design. When Intel comes out with their true Quad Core it'll most likely be a Xeon and also 45nm. I'm a bit disappointed about the Phenom and how it's gotten it's arse kicked by the Q6600 and Core 2 Quad Extreme. But I hear it runs fine OC'd at 3.0 Ghz on air.And maybe even higher if you have a mobo that'll let you increase the voltage to the processor and FSB. Bottom line is that Intel is for games and AMD is more for calculations and heavy editing.

Sadly, that's not the case my friend. Intel's dual C2D design has been kicking the "true quad-core"'s ass in gaming benchmarks. It looks like Intel only really appeals to gamers and I for one, am not a gamer.
