Marines, AFP Conduct Fast Rope Training During Balikatan

I was born and raised in Philippines and now living here in Hawaii for about 11years. Currently, i am a student at University of Hawaii double majoring in Social Work and Philippine Language and Literature. I took Asian Studies class for my Phil Language. In this class we were required to chat online with the students from Ateneo De Zamboanga in Zamboanga City in Mindanao. Many questions were raised about the Militarization in Philippines. the RP- US Balikatan in philippines.

Our Philippine Marines are batte tested. They dont need this type of training. what they need are equipmen and good salary. Im proud of the Phil Marines and I pity them. Sana lang yang mga generals na yan mga kurakot makarma na yan. Lahat ng corupt sa military, ang kakapal ng mukha nyo. Dapat kayo ang sinasama ng mga Marines sa FrontLine eh. Sana sa sunod May mga general na isasama lagi sa frontline.

@cabalphacker: i think i agree on you. I had dreamt of becoming a soldier and i am die hard to that. Now,I'm a PMA ex-cadet and i've seen the worse reality (corruption) once you're already inside. What a hopless and failed country. Not to put this country down but present situation tells its truth..

Do you know what i see here? What i see is a total insult to the whole Phil. military. Nakakahiya, dahil sa kahihiyan ko rin, iTagalog ko na lang para hindi maintindihan ng mga dayuhang viewers. ''Phil. Marines'' sila, tapos tinuturuan ng Kano sila ng basic na basic na pagbaba sa lubid. Nakakasakit naman ng loob. Maski opisyal ng militar Pilipinas ay ginawa o kayang gawin yan. Pres. Arroyo, nasaan ang dignidad mo? Kailan pa tayo tatayo sa ating mga sariling paa? Mga dayuhan ay tumatawa na.
