Okay I'm an animal science major in college and I've grown up with dogs my whole entire life...this isn't hurting the dog. Is it yelping in pain?? Does the way the owner pets and cuddles the dog look like it's harming it?? Lots of companies manufacture dog shoes...as a lot of people have said it is for PROTECTING the dog's feet, not only against dangerous objects but to prevent snowballs from forming in their paw pads in snow which can be extremely painful. Relax, people.

i used to work at Waltham with the Mars dogs, we used to put booties on the shnauzers cos the fur would get really tangled in snow and grit. it IS funny, it doesn't hurt them, he's just a bit confused and will get used to it. everyone stop being so bloody sensitive!

I had just come from a vid where someone got dog shoes because their dog is allergic to the chemicals in the grass near the apartment where they live. I wouldn't want mine to have a bad reaction. I may have to get mine some because people have taken a sudden liking to smashing bottles near the sidewalks, despite the area being heavy with dogs also living here. Not wild though. Though I can look out for them there still are smaller pieces.
