Yeah im still confused how this person got through nightmare. Poison pots wont wake you up, and the sleep lasts quite a while.... I still think this is impressive but Nightmare screws people over really bad.... thats why he's so hard....

OK here is how blm's like me an vol solo diabolos:

Max elemental skill merits, enfeebleing merits, poison pots, panacea's(for bio), Hyorin Obi(ice).

Go in on Ice day, and with AFII legs and Ice obi, and double ice weather its cake.

Nice~ Great job on the solo. I have two questions though: How did you counteract Nightmare? Did you have some kind of resist set for it? (Light or Resist Sleep?) And last question: Did you also have a resist set for Nether Blast or was it Stoneskin + Phalanx that blocked all of it?

You need Panacea to remove Bio, and poison pots to keep you awake.

Umm, Poison Pots don't keep you awake from Nightmare...you can even clearly see in the video when he gets hit by nightmare that his posion effect doesn't wake him up, he only wakes up after Nightmare itself wears off...

no he has SS up which keeps him asleep until SS wears just the same as if you had bio on you and needed to rest if you have SS up you can watch the vid again and you will see

"Nightmare: Inflicts anyone on the floor with Sleep and 21HP/tick Bio. Damage will not wake you up from Nightmare, only Cure and Benediction. (Benediction will also remove the Bio effect, which otherwise must be erased.) -FFXI wiki

If it were so easy to posion pot Diablos he'd be a pretty laughable boss, the guy is using posion potions only because Diablos Prime loves to spam actual Sleepga and Sleepga II as he does early in the fight. Notice how he doesn't cancel out SS, while under nightmare.

Vol is woken up when he gets hit in the face from Nether Blast... not from poison pots or anything. Then he uses panacea to cure bio status. Direct damage will wake you from Nightmare, just not DoT.

Er i'm sorry, Nether Blast removes most of his stoneskin, then diabolos comes and hits him :)

when nightmare is in effect, even if diabolos hits you or does some kind of damage on you, you wont wake up. You have to have cure casted on you, or wait for it to wear.

This is not true. taking direct damage WILL wake you up from nightmare. Damage from DoTs will not.
