I would once have joined the discussions about science and 'proving' Jesus. But ever since I met him, the risen and living Christ, all such discussions seem pointless. It's like trying to explain a Renoir painting to someone who is color blind. He sees it but doesn't really SEE it. As it says in Amazing Grace - I once was blind but now I see. This Don Francisco song is such a wonderful reflection on the truth.

If you believe in a trinity there is NO Salvation in that belief, your sentence sounded like it was belief of trinity, if you haven't obeyed Acts 2:38 or believe that Jesus is JUST and ONLY ONE you will die in your sins, that's biblical !!!!

6. The Bridegroom Comes: The grooms'men would run ahead of the groom and shout that he was coming. While the father's head was turned, the groom would steal the bride. The wedding party then went back to the groom's house to meet the guests.
7. The Bridal Chamber: The bride and groom enter the bridal chamber where the marriage is consummated. The party waits outside until the groom tells the best man that it is consummated. Then, the guests rejoice for 7 days.

The Bible is 66 books the first 39 of the OT are about Laws and Sacrifices. The llast 27 books are the NT talk about Grace and Salvation and the Savior comes to his people. The book of ISAIAH is 66 chapters. the first 39 chapoters are about Laws and Government, Blood Sacrifices to COVER not erase Sin. Imediatly at chapter 40 you get the feel that Isaiah has changed the theme dramatically.

Regardless, this discussion is over, you failed to prove the existence of jesus which was the goal presented before you and the evidence you have put forth has been destroyed and determined as unreliable. I am willing to change my views on reality if evidence proves otherwise, which you have failed to do. Many atheists have thought that the Bible must have been written by ONE person. It wasnt. However.. It is an intergrated message that is outside our time domain. combined 66 books, written by 40 authors over a span of more than 1500 years. Many of these men never knew each other. Good luck, I don't believe in a hell based on the evidence presented before me. I consider that junk, which constitutes a waste of time. I am in no danger, I don't feel bad about denying the existence of a jealous, cruel, tyrannic, demanding, non-existent god. If god is real (which there is no reason to believe he is) then he wont give a damn if I believe in him or not, just that I am a good person who does good things because I want to, which I do. Anyway, you can't say that heaven is a fact when you have no proof, much less that hell is a fact when the very term Hell comes from Norse myth, and the idea of an afterlife comes from various other myths that PREDATE judeo-christian beliefs by thousands of years. You can't expect me to just say "Okay, since you say so and the bible says so" and then convert again to your proof-less god without having some evidence to back it up. The idea is absurd and a dangerous notion. I still am an atheist.

We live in an information age where the people demand proof of something before it is confirmed. When it comes to jesus or a god, or any holy book filled with hate and violence on an unimaginable scale, I tend find them illogical and just plain wrong. Still, none the less, to god you plead your case, but still he refuses to show his face. That is not a loving god. It is time to give up primitive beliefs in gods who don't exist and instead trust in your fellow human beings, they make things happen. Jesus is just a story, nothing more. I do claim that the evidence for the existence of a man called jesus of Nazareth is seriously lacking. Whether or not it brings a third of the population comfort is beside the point. The point is that religion is a barrier that divides so many people and limits the intellectual capabilities of the human race by saying they have the answers and not go to against that. Just because someone impacted history so greatly doesn't mean they existed. Zeus and Hercules did too, doesn't make them real.
Denying the historical evidence of Jesus' existence is beyond absurd. According to your logic, Hitler, Obama, Sir Isaac Newton, have impacted history too, & there are eye-witness accounts, but that's not proof of their existence. Could it be that I don't exist? The belief in any god and any afterlife is a selfish and egotistical way to think considering that the belief is that if you are good here on earth you go to heaven after you die. That is a selfish way to think at least by what I see. People should be good because they want to, not because some imaginary cloud guy wants them to or else his loving highness will send you to a not so loving place. The entire idea that the whole vast universe was created for us and we actually matter is selfish.

Newton we have physical evidence of like records of his existence in the royal records of the time and birth and death records as well as his published works of physics that have revolutionized the world. Hitler we have evidence of like video record and documents written by him even Mein Kampf or however it is spelled. Obama is currently the US president with records of his birth and area of birth. I do not block off the idea of god. If there is evidence for it, then it is can be seen. Only problem is that there is no evidence of a god so there is no reason to take it seriously. It is logical to demand evidence for a claim and it is a humble approach because it shows that someone is thinking rationally. Provide some evidence of your god and perhaps it will be considered. Until then it will not be taken as an answer to anything but merely a comforting thought with little to be acted upon.

It is not faith when it comes to Newton, it is evidence that supports the claim. You are seriously reaching for it now. You want to use logic, fine, I can use the bible's logic to say that I am god. If jesus has evidence behind him, why do the most intelligent minds on the planet not confirm his existence? Why is jesus still a figure of faith and not a figure of fact? It is beyond illogical to believe the stories of the bible and then try to prove them. Whatever kid, go read a book and find out the jesus is not the most influential person in history. He has not been proven or else we would not be having this conversation. It seems every ten years science will change its ideas, one day alchemy is possible, one day the earth was flat, one day large object fell faster then small objects and on and on!

My definition of proof includes irrefutable evidence and as well as reasonable logic. Wishing doesn't make it true and neither does irrational belief. Religion and any mention of gods of any kind only cause problems and break people apart. Take a look at the big picture and ask the big questions, as about you god, why he would allow such terrible things, then see how quickly you can use irrational belief to justify it. While you are at it, show me evidence of existence.

Wrong, those people refer to the "christ" which is a title, not a name. They are referring to either christianity as a whole or the christ which means the anointed one of which there were over a dozens "messiahs" of the time. The bible only supports places and locations, not actual events or people of which can be confirmed. You are jumping to a conclusion when it comes to me and the bible. I would once have joined the discussions about science and 'proving' Jesus. But ever since I met him, the risen and living Christ, all such discussions seem pointless. It's like trying to explain a Renoir painting to someone who is color blind. He sees it but doesn't really SEE it. As it says in Amazing Grace - I once was blind but now I see. The Bible is 66 books the first 39 of the OT are about Laws and Sacrifices. The llast 27 books are the NT talk about Grace and Salvation and the Savior comes to his people. The book of ISAIAH is 66 chapters. the first 39 chapoters are about Laws and Government, Blood Sacrifices to COVER not erase Sin. Good luck, I don't believe in a hell based on the evidence presented before me. I consider that junk, which constitutes a waste of time. Anyway, you can't say that heaven is a fact when you have no proof, much less that hell is a fact when the very term Hell comes from Norse myth, and the idea of an afterlife comes from various other myths that PREDATE judeo-christian beliefs by thousands of years. I do not block off the idea of god. If there is evidence for it, then it is can be seen. Only problem is that there is no evidence of a god so there is no reason to take it seriously. References to Christ are found in The Antiquities of the Jews, a work compiled in Rome between yrs 93 & 94 by the historian Flavius Josephus. The Annals of Tacitus, written in 115 -120, write about the burning of Rome, makes a reference to Christ "executed by order of the procurator Pontius Pilate". My definition of proof includes irrefutable evidence and as well as reasonable logic. Wishing doesn't make it true and neither does irrational belief. Religion and any mention of gods of any kind only cause problems and break people apart. Take a look at the big picture and ask the big questions, as about you god, why he would allow such terrible things, then see how quickly you can use irrational belief to justify it. @IAmTHEFreak1936~ If I prove the existance of God to you...Then it will be up to you, to make the choice whether to reject Him, or recieve Him! God Himself proved His existance LONG ago....He did that with ONE WORD, which is irrefutable, and undeniable, as well as historical..So think twice before you want the proof, because then it is up to you to choose Him, or deny Him!

I don't see how simply saying that something is irrefutable without actually saying what it is you are referring to much less having any evidence to back that up is any sign of evidence at all, so really it only seems as though you are blowing smoke out of your ass. Think again before you think that seeming dramatic is any sign of showing evidence, of which you majorly lack for your god among all of the thousands of other mythical sky beings like yours.

@kgunjoem you know what i find sad, yet so ridiculous it's almost funny? the fact that in order for people like IAmTHEFreak1936 to believe tht God exists, they need empirical evidence. yet its the same kind who embrace evolution with its weak, hole filled, "evidence". so sad. :(

The idea you have that Jesus did not exist cannot be rationalized away by wishful thinking. The New Testament comes from 27 different manuscripts that give a consistent portrait of a man named Jesus. Early historians such as Tacitus, Lucian of Samosata, Josephus, Suetonius, Tertullian, Thalus, Phlegon, AND MORE, all make mention of Him. Multiple archeological discoveries have confirmed the accuracy of biblical details proving the bible to be a reliable source of history.
You cannot win.

First off, it is not wishful thinking, it is called logic. Those people you mention described the "christ", which is a title, not a name. They mention the anointed one, which is not referring to your sun god jesus. I am not trying to win, you are the one doing some "wishful thinking" by believing mythical stories from a bronze age text about a zombie who can help you. Name one archeologist who confirms the bible's accuracy who is credible and is considered a good historian.

It is only your FAITH in the claims of your favorite historians that "prove" (in your mind) the existence of the (_fill in the blank_) that you base your so-called "evidence" upon!
You then quote the bible to prove your point...

There is no proof that Jesus did NOT exist, only mountains of evidence that He did. Historical proof exists outside the bible which, itself is a verifiable document of historical evidence, despite the atheist argument that it isn't-for no apparent reason. The bible, written over a period of about 2000 yrs, contains roughly 332 prophecies regarding the Christ, all clearly fulfilled in the person of Jesus. You seem to think that if it's in the bible, then it just can't be true.

Wrong, those people refer to the "christ" which is a title, not a name. They are referring to either christianity as a whole or the christ which means the anointed one of which there were over a dozens "messiahs" of the time. The bible only supports places and locations, not actual events or people of which can be confirmed. You are jumping to a conclusion when it comes to me and the bible. If something is proven outside of the bible then it is believable. If there is evidence, then so be it.

The first part of this is meant to be Jesus speaking/singing, then it's the thief on the cross next to him that told off the man on the other side of Jesus (who taunted him). It then goes on to be the man on the cross on Heaven. Just thought I should say in case anyone was unsure :) GB.

It could be just from the perspective of the thief. It wouldn't make sense to switch from one to another ...I've been listening this for over 20 years and always have thought of this song as his best....but as I say I think the entire song is from the perspective of the thief who repented, but either way it's a powerful pice of work.

This is a wonderfully sung story of Christ's
life,crucifixion and resurrection. Jesus is faithful and will forgive all sin if we with a broken and contrite heart repent of our sin and turn from it. Let me tell you about god . Did you know not everyone can be saved. Jesus christ refuses to save people who do certain sins . A savior who denies people the right to be saved yeah some savior . Jesus says in mark he will never save people who blasphemy the holy ghost even if they repent . even if they are truely sorry. With all due respect - I don't know what bible you read but God is love & Jesus taught about love, freedom, & the power of forgiveness. God's love covers a multitude of sin 1 Pet 4 & we are saved by grace through faith (Eph 2). Ask Jesus to come into your heart, repent from your sins & see the power of His love work within you and raise you to be the mighty man He destined you to be! Amen!

My God loved me so much he who was sinless became sin on the Cross and paid by shedding his own blood. The whitest lamb ever to walk the earth could only be God in the flesh. The greatest sacrifice of God shows that his love is more than we can ever imagine.
