Thanks for sharing. My friends and I did this same hike this past August and it was very well worth it. Learning about the culture, hiking up to the waterfalls, swimming at the bay, and interacting with some locals made that day very special for us. I am looking forward to doing it all over again.
Thanks for sharing. I was there in the early 1980's. Halawa valley seemed like it was at the end of the world. We didn't see a single sole there and were spell bound by it's natural unspoiled beauty. I also loved the overlook of Kalaupapa, what a view, wish we could have gone down to the peninsula. There was a great fertility stone there, wonder if it still is?
Your videos are excellent. We were just up there but couldn't take the hike as we had our 4 year old with us. We'll go back when he's older. We loved the drive up to Halawa Valley and we stopped by that beach there and enjoyed the views. We also toured Halawa Farm which was beautiful. The man who owns it made us smoothies from the fruit grown on his property and they were delicious. He's a very nice guy and very interesting. Can't wait to visit Molokai again.
I think that would be nice, too. However, I can only use music for which I have obtained copyright. And the choices are limited unless you want to pay BIG, BIG bucks.
Yes, I know that many YouTube users illegally use music with their videos. I, however, just cannot purposefully perform such a misdeed.
This is a great hike to one of the most beautiful places on our planet!!!

I grew up in that valley, going on that same walk and swimming by that falls. Simple life use to be. btw, I see my uncle was your guide.

I envy you. It is a beautiful place and was a wonderful experience.
Your uncle is a very honorable man by taking on such a Herculean task. I have the greatest respect for him.
