make sure your record panel is showing on the top. if not right click on the top and make it active. in that panel you will see "321" uncheck it. What i do is check the wait and then the record and it will start when you start to play. what do you mean when you tired to download more. do you have the samples are are you downloading them. go to options on the top and then file location. select the file location of the samples you have. if they are on a disk copy them to computer first. and select that location where you copied them to. from the options > file location.

I added some loops and samples I bought a couple weeks ago on my fl studio.They worked just fine.But today when I tried to download more it said the directory is empty. I tried to put them back in but it says the same thing.I would greatly appreciate if you could help me out.Thanks for your time.

to make a good tune does your melody (synth) need to have the same rythm as your bassline or can it be different? I think your synth matched the beat of the bassline (am i right?). The help was really useful.
