to be perfectly honest there isn't a right or wrong way to hold the camera. the only way is the way you feel most comfortable with your camera. the most important thing is the picture that comes out in the end of the day. sure, the way you hold it sometimes may affect the photograph. but thats not rally your problem is it ? and if anybody wants to tell the guy that there is a better way of holding a dslr or any other camera they can do it in a polite way and with a little bit of respect.

Not the best media to show off your pictures. I mean if you wanna show some picture, use flickr or something similar. Youtube is for videos, not photo slides or just pictures. Its all about choosing the right media.

It feels cheap & it is cheap, it looks lost on the front of my 50 D I`m always concious of it`s diminutive appearence when i use it.....But it`s also the best lens i have ever bought for £ 75.00...I have paid much more for a lot less...How do other cheap canon primes stack up against this....?

@Igotbadjoints I'm not entirely sure. Don't worry about it being cheap, who cares?! It produces good pictures. I use a 30 year old film SLR most of the time now anyway.

Perhaps a Canon Rebel XTi or Canon EOS 1000D.

Or a Nikon D40 is a very cheap but good DSLR.

Sony and Pentax also make some nice cameras. :)

Have a search around, research is important...
