@KnobiTobiful I would agree with you if it wasn't for these two reasons: 1) no matter how safe a prison is, there is always a chance of escape. To take that chance is the same as taking responsibility over innocent people's lives. 2) Assuming that the vitim's family is composed of tax payers, it menas asking them to keep alive the man who tortured and killed their loved one. This guy served in the Gulf War and came to his kids and his ex-wife. His kids loved him, they wrote him cards, letters, etc to him. However the current used by such a chair isn't measured in mA, but rather in A. 1 Amp (A) is 1000 mA. So you are using 1000s of mA with that chair. FAR MORE than enough to kill. The person would have died instantly.

@KnobiTobiful I would agree with you if it wasn't for these two reasons: 1) no matter how safe a prison is, there is always a chance of escape. To take that chance is the same as taking responsibility over innocent people's lives. 2) Assuming that the vitim's family is composed of tax payers, it menas asking them to keep alive the man who tortured and killed their loved one. I'm Brazilian, we're western and I assure that most of the population supports death penalty (even if the laws dont).

This guy served in the Gulf War and came to his kids and his ex-wife. His kids loved him, they wrote him cards, letters, etc to him. He took them to a carnival and then took them home to shoot them, execution style. He turned himself in and admitted what he had did. He denied all of his appeals so he would die.

His kids loved him, they praised him, he took them to the theme park and everything. He executed his kids execution style a bullet to the back of the head. After that he turned himself in. On death row he denied all appeals, and wanted to die. His last words were " I do". I believe this case is anti- death penalty proof.

IF you've seen Lockup on MSNBC where they took us behind Riverbend Maximum Security Prison in Nashville, TN, they interviewed Daryl Holton and the episode was shot in 2005 just 2 years before he was executed in the electric chair. When they rerun the show sometimes, they showed the picture of Daryl and told us that he was executed in 2007. What a monster he was with him killing those 4 children.

In fact, I invited Trew for his fight when my shoulder was out of action, but he chickened out. He only came in the end because he thought he'd be safe with that depeche idiot. He wasn't. They're gay lovers, apparently.

It's not the 1750 volts that killed him. That's just to make sure it well exceeds the insulation breakdown voltage of the skin. It's really the current measured in Amps (not mentioned in the news here) that kills. It takes at an absolute minimum of 10mA to kill. However the current used by such a chair isn't measured in mA, but rather in A. 1 Amp (A) is 1000 mA. So you are using 1000s of mA with that chair. FAR MORE than enough to kill. The person would have died instantly.
