  • funny how so many spitfires remain yet only about 2 mozis

  • @guysey2 chalk one up for dry rot

  • hats off to all aircrew of mozzies my grandad was a navigator bomb aimer in them during the 2nd world war...and luckily survivied greta airplane...a legend

  • I love the litle white modern car at 5.46

  • yummy... ...Mosquito Omelette.. :)

  • It's a shame that they destroyed two real Mosquitos during the making of this movie. Even if they were not airworthy.

  • @YDDES To make an ommeletta you have to break some eggs.

  • @asgrrr Yes, but You don't make omlettas out of eggs from an endagered species...

But, I know, this was pre "Battle of Britain" and the interest in old aircraft had yet to awaken

  • @YDDES It wasn't an endangered species back then ;)

  • @asgrrr Well, I think they used all the flying examples they could find to make this movie. One "T.III" (trainer) and two "35" (bombers). They also had two taxiable "35's" which they destroyed, plus some statics in background. So, there wasn't many Mosquitos left even then. Now no flying examples exist. The "T III" was destroyed in a fatal crash and the "35's" are in museums.

  • @YDDES actually there"s 1 in america in flying condition owned by kermit weeks also a belgian air force pilot owns 2 and he"s flying 1 over here to duxford

  • @MrBigj1970 Yes, I yhink 2 were exported to USA in flying condition, but have any of them flown for many years?

I've not heard about the Belgian Mosquitos.

  • Best parts of the film :) Great upload!
