@reaper6669, American citizens and legal residents in fact ARE ABLE AND WILLING to do any and all jobs available. However, they are often not given the chance for obvious reasons. Also, another counter point here is that while the current undocumented immigrany may not take a job of interest to you, it could happen later when your children (and thiers) are competing for the SAME jobs only one generation away. Think hard about his sobering reality.
i am as against illegal immigration as the next real American. however, i have never seen anyone U.S. born willing to pick oranges in the hot summer sun, go ahead as the black guy in the video to do that, mow my lawn at 5 AM, or stand outside home depot waiting for work. the reality is, they save companies money on the crap jobs so the more important jobs can be done by americans. besides if you loose out on a job to someone that doesn't speak english, you deserve to not have employment!!!

If I get a job and you didn't how then did I take it from you? Unless you feel you were somehow entitled to it. You must believe that a person can be more deserving of something based on where they were born. Self entitlement and scapegoating are at the heart of the movement to treat "illegal aliens" as criminals for walking from one place to another to find work.
@xbertocoaylax - If these newly " Employed " are ILLEGAL ALIENS & have thus entered & remain in our country ILLEGALLY what then could possibly give them any legal grounds for having this new job , a residence within the US & then ability to cut their scale of wage by 1/2 to 2/3 to gain this new job to begin with. Compound this problem with the fact that these people send aprox. $50,000,000,000 back to their home lands to pay for their homes there & use our social and educational benefits !
@xbertocoaylax - The aprox. total cost to American taxpayers in 2008 was $338,000000,000.00 . The US can not afford and should not be willing to pay out even one cent for the benefit of CRIMINALS. ILLEGAL ALIENS ARE CRIMINALS. I am indeed entitled to live my life unburdened by the cost of support for these ALIENS. ALL American citizens share the same entitlement. My question to you, how did new illegals take jobs from old illegals? maybe you want us all to live in box in fields!

This guy is an IDIOT.
American citizens would never pick broccoli for 8 hours a day. Immigrant workers (documented & undocumented) contribute millions of dollars to the agricultural economy every year.
He isn't just talking about immigrant farm workers, he's talking about IT workers from India, Construction workers from India, Japanese workers in both IT and the medical field and so on. If you think this is about picking fruit, you are dead wrong.
How come all the focus and the protests are in laborers worksites? The truths is this, Are you willing to pay more for your food and services?. Are you willing to analize the predatory capitalism system in place today? If not this is the result of such a system. Companies will always go for cheaper labor and less restrictions. If you want this fixed you must go to the core of the issue. These companies care only about their profits not about the American Nation.
I am willing to pay more. It doesn't help our country to get cheap prices by putting our fellows out of work. Capitalism has created more wealth for more people than any other system in the world.
I can't stand how when anyone brings up illegal immigration, the pro-illegal side shouts racism.
Race is 100% irrelevant. It is about sovereignty. Millions of illegals piss all over our laws, soak up BILLIONS in social services, significantly increase crime, demand our schools teach their children in spanish, protest in OUR streets, send money back to their families(IE not spending it here in the economy that provided it) How can anyone defend that? It boggles my mind.
With one-half of those households being poor enough to use the federal, state and local welfare systems, is there anybody blind enough to think that adding 2.3 million people a year to immigrant households is not driving huge increases in government?
That is 23 million disproportionately poor and welfare-using people a decade!

Additionally, around ONE-HALF of all immigrant households with kids are accessing the welfare system, especially food and Medicaid welfare.
In this case, "immigrant" includes both authorized and illegal foreign citizens allowed by the federal government to settle in our country. Since 2000, that number each year has averaged around 1.3 million a year -- plus another 1 million births to those immigrant households.
I scanned through the comments here and have distilled one of the biggest problems.
American citizens demand to have a life of leisure and luxury without working for the privilage.
I'm one of these types. I buy things I don't need and expect a wage of $10 for sitting at a computer all day. High minimum wages, the expectaning of a college education and no willingness to do hard labor are where the problem lies.
Solutions: No MW, Trade Schools and no gov't grants or welfare for all.
Speak for yourself, please. I do not demand, nor do I lead a life of "luxury". I grew up poor and have worked hard my whole life. I have a College degree that I had to work very hard to get and pay for it.
I've done everything from shoveling shit on a farm to painting backdrops for Opera houses. I treat every job with the same enthusiasm and work ethic and I'm proud of it. I am NOT alone.

"Speak for yourself, please" I can and only do, sir.
"Please stop encouraging the rumor that all Americans are lazy shits" Please reread my words and you will see I did nothing of the sort.
We can play the "I did this, grew up that" game. My life working in construction, working since I was 8 yrs old at odd jobs. But it is the truth that given the choice between living as they do in most other countries or living with cable TV and a car and a computer bought on a CC, most people will...
The US gov't leads the way as an example to living on debt in a nation based on purchases and not manufacturing. Unions fight for $50 per hour wages in jobs that people will do for $10 and hour gladly.
You and I may be the exception, but I guarentee you you have A/C in your home, take weekends off, and pay for internet so you can spend time watching YouTube and commenting.
Don't get me wrong. When the chips are down the US people will hunker ..
... down and put their nise to the grindstone (literally and figuratively). But as long as the gov't says "go out and buy" rather than "we are cutting welfare, minimum wages, 2 year long unemployment, unlimited gov't jobs and so on, we will always expect to own a home, have TV, take vacations and have somebody do things for us.
We aren't laze, sir, we are privileged, and with privilige comes responsibility. That, however is something that we haven't had to face in a couple of generations.
One last thought. There is a proverb: Shirt-sleeves to shirt-sleeves in three generations.
Generation One begins working hard. Generation Two is middle class, with time for leisure, but knows to work hard most of the time. Generation Three believes everything will be done for them, which is often does. Generation Four is back to the hard work for the squandering of the previous generation.
The gov't and CCs let us draw that out from the Great Dep... but it's time to start again.
How come there are no whites lining up to pick lettuce. You can make 100 to 200 in a day depending on how good you are? How come the poultry industry must hire either blacks or illegals. You never see a white face.
Same with the meat packers. The truth is and any employer can tell you mexicans are prefered workers. So on this side whites are complaining about illegals taking jobs, which means they work and contribute and then there are the ones that claim that they are on welfare which is it?
@coltzin12 Mark Krikorian et al have documented very clearly in their writings at National Review Online that you are simply wrong about Americans of all colors not being willing to do certain jobs.
Americans are more than willing to do all kinds of work so long as the wages, benefits, and working conditions aren't being dragged down by a horde of ILLEGAL ALIENS and the unscrupulous business owners who hire them.
Join NUMBERSUSAdotCOM for a brighter, more prosperous future!!!
You seem to be under the illusion that foreign workers are only extremely low skilled blue collar labor and nothing could be further from the truth. Do you have any idea how many IT jobs have been lost to Foreigners from india who are here on a work visa taking high paying jobs and turning them into low paying jobs?
@coltzin12 - If they are LEGAL mexicans noone should have a problem about their being hired. If not the scales become unbalanced by paying them lower wages w/ no insurance provided. Report ILLEGAL ALIENS to ICE @ 1-866-347-2423.
According to the Pew Hispanic Center, the cumulative cost of illegal aliens to American tax payers is approx. $6.02B+ since Jan 1, 2010. included is $3.83B+ spent to educate their children, of whom half will drop out before graduation, $200M+ spent on the incarcerated & 4.02B+ sent by aliens back to their home countries!
Aliens come for a better life at the expense of the Americans, thus they're nothing more than thieves!
The only excrement around here is between your ears. Ever hear of The Bell Curve by Murray and Herrnstein?
We already have millions of people who, because of their IQs and/or attitudes, are never going to be university material, let alone candidates for a Masters or Doctorate. Nonetheless, they're Americans and they need decent, living-wage jobs, period. Allowing ILLEGAL ALIENS to drive wages into the toilet denies our citizens the opportunity to earn a respectable living.
@TsugaC: I am very aware of the bell curve. I have it in my library.
But you are blaming the flies for going to the pot of honey. The problem is with the features of the US welfare state, not with the wanna-be immigrants wanting to benefit.
The best thing is to eliminate the welfare state, so only people that want to come and work would have incentives to do so.
Wages are going to the toilet because
1) the locals are uneducated
2) there is not enough capital (i.e. taxes are too high)
Here's another one you need to read: Who Are We? by Samuel P. Huntington. I agree completely with points #1 & #2. Our social welfare safety net has been a hammock for far too long. Another issue needs to be confronted, though.
Ever since the disasterous Immigration Reform Act of 1965, we've been letting in far too many Third Worlders whose cultural ways and mores are at distinct odds with our Anglo-Protestant foundations. They don't think as we think nor do they behave as we behave. ---->
In addition to what I've written, it's important to remember that they're not "wanna-be immigrants", they're ILLEGAL ALIENS. Many of them aren't innoculated and are bringing diseases with them that we'd long since eradicated in our populace. Furthermore, 1 in 12 of them already had a criminal record of some sort before they set foot on OUR soil. We have enough criminal scum of our own, thank you very much. We don't need the flotsam and jetsam of the Third World, too.
Sure, some locals arew uneducated, but what about locals fired and replaced by Indian and Chinese visa workers that are not smarter or harder working, just YOUNGER AND CHEAPER. You say not enough capital because we need lower taxes? well what about forty years of taxes on poor peoples wages due to massive immigration, a tax libertarians and Dems and Repubs NEVER MENTION! Neocons, progressives, and libertarians can all go to hell when it comes to immigration. a change is coming buddy!
apart from the fact that you are not coherent, the change that you envision is this: smart chinese and indians go home, while US becomes a third rate country. Look at a breakdown of standardized testing it the US: The Asians are ahead of the White ppl by 72 points or so. (No, they aren't smarter, they just work harder).
Look at UK, Argentina or France to see that a previously rich country can become destitute. It can happen to US as well when locals think they are entitled.
Alan, there is one visa program that allows any person that is outstanding in their field can come in and his wife and children, it is for special people, but ones that can prove they are special by patents or awards, etc, not notes from their immigration attorney or mothers. We should allow as many of those visa workers and their families to come as wish to come, but most that are coming are not special, only younger and cheaper. Immigration is a tax on the working class to keep wages down.
@mrluhot101: I agree with the first part of your comment.
However, regarding the second part, why do you blame people coming here for wanting a better life? You can have either immigration or a welfare state. Unfortunately USA is going the European route and taxes the most successful to pay for the lazy ones.
My issue is with the use of other languages in the US, but this is government's fault.
Also, unemployment is high because of this thuggish administration. Tax cuts => more jobs.
Who is blaming immigrants, I am saying we need a limit, unlimited immigration for an unlimited time is not sustainable. Ten percent of central america now lives in the usa- the fastest growing group of illegals is not hispanic but Indians and Chinese overstaying their tourist and student visa. Why do you want our country population to go to a billion? Why do you want massive immigration of uneducated people to force diversity down our throats? we need an immigration moratorium.
The government has declared mixed war on the enemy. The enemy is the US citizen. Why else would the trading with the enemy act be amended to include US citizens as the enemy. The Alien Property Custodian has title to everything. I think this can be rightfully classified as HIGH TREASON!!!!
Immigration is a tax on the working poor and the mostly fraudulent worker visa programs bringing in over 100,000 a MONTH are helping to wipe out the middle class.
We need an immigration moratorium, to make e verify mandatory, end anchor babies and chain migration and Jail employers that hire illegals and Legals and pocket profits and pass social costs onto the community.

It's silly to blame immigration on the recent job situation in the US. How about fighting outsourcing? Most of our jobs are being outsourced to other countries like India, Russia, etc. I'd rather join a movement that supported keeping jobs in the country.
Since we are at the topic of getting rid of immigrants, yeah, let's get rid of all of them like the current host of Shear Genius (a hot immigrant) and replace her with, this guy on the video! I'll bet he is qualified for ANY job he picks.

this is bullshit. Go to school and learn or accept a lower wage.
Other than that encourage congress to cut business taxes.
Investment => jobs.

Send them all back!!!

@mrhulot101:
apart from the fact that you are not coherent, the change that you envision is this: smart chinese and indians go home, while US becomes a third rate country.

Illegal immigraion is corporate welfare.
Socialism for corporate America. Capitalism for American workers. It's the American way!

The government has declared mixed war on the enemy. The enemy is the US citizen. Why else would the trading with the enemy act be amended to include US citizens as the enemy. The Alien Property Custodian has title to everything. I think this can be rightfully classified as HIGH TREASON!!!!

@4Freedomrider - As Lou Dobbs has said all along the US has declared war on the Middle Class.
