  • This is an in accurate test, in order to be accurate, you would have to have the same exposure for both tests. Your losing 1.3 stops with this filter and not making up for it by fixing the aperture.

  • @awsman892 I did use the same exposure. As you will see at 1:10, i have not adjusted the exposure. What is seen is purely polarization. Therefore, your comment is invalid.

  • @tomaplaw I believe what he is telling you is that you need to brighten the exposure by whatever amount the polarizing filter takes away so that it equals the previous exposure's brightness that doesn't have the filter on. That way the picture doesn't come out too dark, because the filter will still knock out the white haze that is visible even if you brighten your exposure, which in this case it should be brightened by 1.3 F stops. I don't know if your cam allows you to do this or not.
