But my understanding is that after Ross Perot split the Republicans causing the election to go to the Democrat, both parties radically rewrote their "rules" for election, making it nearly impossible for a 3rd party entry. They would have to meet state criteria, different in every state, to even GET on the ballot, and would NOT be allowed into national debates. I am sure that is why RP is running as Repub.
