There may have been some left over smoke from a beam shot that I had taken... Plus the matches left some smoke as well. That's probably why the beam was visible a little...

Even 10mW's will damage the eyes...
Really not a good idea to point any laser at people.
Anyway, this old thing is considered kind of weak these days! We are making 500mW blu-ray lasers from 12X blu-ray drives now!

@jayrob94561 lol but that's so expensive!!! And, one question, with a PHR-803T diode (the 80-110mw blu-rays) can they be visibe at night? Or in a really dark place?

I have a blue ray laser and it can pop a balloon at 20 feet i measured the distance with a tape measure.
