The Guitarist is "Jackie Lomax with whom Terry briefly collaborated in the ironically named Brit exile band Teabags. The kind of loosely connected line up common in musical colonies the world over."
Any one know who the guitar player is? And the rest of the band?
I met Terry a year ago at Mirelles, here on Long Island. He was backed by two members of the Cosmic American Derelicts. Ed Rainey and George Kapenitellis - the band had accompanied Terry on a tour of the UK. I had Terry' second album when i was a youngster (1967), and although he doesn't like that album, it remains one of my favorites.
He is so casually great, unassuming and a real gentleman. Funny, too.
As he says he did the LP "last year" this must be a 1992 gig. How 15-16 years can change us. Still had my long hair in 1992 but now at 54 it's shaved head and long beard time. Pity The Waterboys gave Terry the song, waited until he issued it as a single then issued their own version as a single. Damned dirty trick that. Terry could and should have had the number one.
A world star in waiting I saw Terry in a Club called Fantasio /Dortmund /Germany in 1971 with Alan White drums Lee Miles bass Dave lindley lap steel +voilin It was the best concert I ever experienced an amazing singer /Guitarist quite probably the the best one Britain produced
@simonbnyc I wonder that too, seems like such a change. He is still the greatest rock singer songwriter Britain has produced and I am going to see him in a month's time.
members could be
Ian Wallace, Kim Gardner, Mick Taylor, Brian Auger, Terry Reid, Peter Banks, Graham Bell, David Mansfield

People who really know music understand how great Terry Reid is. That's what matters.

When did he abandon the long hair and cool clothes for the suit and short hair?

Probably when the comb-over stopped working for him.
