@jamiemcshafto Just read the rules of golf yourself. Since you can't on your own, I will educate you. Rule 4-1 defines a club as an implement that is designed to be used for striking the ball. Rule 4-1(a) further states that a club is composed of a shaft and a head. Thus, it is not a club. Rule 4-4 also explicitly states that an umbrella nor a ball retriever is considered a club.

Further more, get yourself a rule book and read Appendix II.

Although not "official" the same standard protocols set by the USGA such as dropping around a cart path, lateral hazards, and even the new groove change are all obeyed by the European PGA Tour.

I'm not 100% positive but from what I heard, the spin milled wedges are illegal now for tournament use. It makes sense in my opinion cause I have one myself and it's so much more forgiving.
