I was certain he got the idea for Somebody's Calling Me from Iggy Pop's Nightclubbing. He said it was during panic attacks and he was heavily medicated to deal with all the anxiety and he wrote it.
Still think The Idiot had some unconscious influence. It's probably the most claustrophobic, anxiety, coked out, paranoid music I've ever heard.
