More and more of my heroes just keep going soft. Ritchie Blackmore playing terrible Renn Faire music, Marty Friedman playing with a tone-deaf j-popper...what's next? Tomorrow I'm going to wake up and Steve Vai will be making an album with T-Pain.
If you don't want soft music, then go and listen to exodus or slayer! These musicians like Blackmore or Friedman "go soft" because they're open-minded and want to play different kinds of music, not just the same old songs all over the years.
To me, Blackmore's Night sounds cool, and so does Nanase Aikawa, but as always, it's just a matter of taste ;)
I didn't know about this lady untill I read an article in Mach 2009 issue of guitar world magazine. I think she is pretty, talented (she need to improve a little bit her singing), she has a guitarrists like Marty and she has a full concert... I will see more of her.
how do you go from x-japan and from one of the best metal bands megadeth to this shit. wow i am amazed what the almighty doller can do to a musician and to iownjoo your an idoit man marty did go soft ya he has leads but i bet he couldnt keep up with dave on rythem now and sing at the same time fuck that singer is so flat it aint even funny
This shows the how versatile these musicians are. Check out Marty and Pata's solo album if you think he cant shred anymore. Plus, open your mind up for other music
Marty Friedman is now a PUFF! (j/k *LOL*) As good as he was and as much as I liked him in Megadeth, his solo and Pop stuff is also cool, and I am open-minded, respecting him for what he wants to do nowadays. :)
I've watched this lots of times over the years and every time is just as good as the last.

I can't believe that he went from megadeth to a japanese pop band but I find that cool. I really love marty friedman.

Awesome to see our Friedman again after so long. He seems to be happy to be where he is.
I'm a long time Megadeth fan, but why not try new things, eh?
The song is not brilliant, but still pretty nice and enjoyable.

Continue dreaming in your western world.
You have ABSOLUTELY no idea how amazing the other band members are. It's a superband brought together for Aikawa's R.U.O.K tour.
Just to save you some slack, here's some info for you to start googling.
Guitar: Marty Friedman (ex. Megadeth)
Guitar: Tomoaki Ishizuka, more commonly known as Pata from X Japan
Drums: 真矢 (trans. Shinya Yamada) (ex. Luna Sea)
Bass: 'Crazy' Cool Joe (ex. Dead End)
Keyboards: "D.I.E" (ex. Hide with Spread Beaver)

she's been in the scene since 1996, her voice back then was much better, its becos with age and straining of vocal chords over the years i guess.

you should because she sounded good in album but quite terrible live

The song it's pretty catchy, but I don't like the singing of Aikawa, maybe I have to listen to something from studio.

Dave Mustaine's pussy ass can say "Marty Friedman went soft" as much as he wants, Marty'll always still be a better guitarist than Mustaine.
Plus, this stuff's catchy. =)
iownjoo 3 years ago
Marty's current solo stuff sounds like Megadeth but without the anger.
That's not necessarily bad or good, but nonetheless it's still awesome music.
