It's actually Google who's doing all the ads on this site.

They bought YouTube 3 years ago, and thats when the ads started showing up in all of the vidios onYT.

They also re-programmed YT, so that you had to get a Google e-mail account, in order to join YT.

Google is notorious for spying on everyone and everything that it can, and selling the info to the highest bidder (which is where you get spam from).

That includes everything in your personal e-mails.
