I hope many of you have noticed that in so many of today's crime movies, when the characters tend to fire their guns sideways, it was Tuco who was first seen firing his gun from this angle! And it was decades later till this style of shooting was again seen on the screen. But Tuco has a reason to do so here as the leaf door would otherwise prevent him of holding the gun level and aiming accurately. Now its seems to be the norm! Vanity and showing off are the reasons its done in today's movies!
No film beats this film, all the talent especially from Eli Wallach who is still alive and well and also acting at 95, which is amazing. His role as tuco was amazing, dont think anyone else could have pulled it off. and Morricones music is epic.
@cheechandchongrule It's probably the greatest movie ever. The only other one in my opinion to rival it, is another Leone/ Morricone : Once Upon a Time in America.
I'd say 'glad he is still with us', why is it sad that somebody gets to be 95 years old? He and Clint even did some ADR for the restored scenes when the Special Edition DVD came out, although their voices had changed over the decades. There looks too, thats just natural, or did you forget Yoda's words?
"When 900 years old you reach look as good, you will not!"
Sergio Leone made classic trilogy. These films are unique cause keep getting better and better with every new film. The Good The Bad & The Ugly is pure masterpiece. All the actors did a brilliant job but Clint Eastwood and Eli Wallach were special. Nowadays they don't make Real Westerns like this one. Modern Hollywood films are useless remakes, stupid rip offs, crappy sequels etc - No creativity/class at all
The movie trumpeted its big stars in Clint Eastwood (Blondie) and Lee Van Cleef (Angel Eyes) when first shown in the sixties. But as the viewer watches this classic over and over, it becomes increasingly clear that Eli Wallach literally stole the show from the other two stars. A truly tour-de-force performance worthy of an Academy Award. Take a bow, Eli. Your Tuco is unforgettable!
in this movie the fact that there was one guy who wasnt quite good or quite totally evil made it so much more interesting. tuco was also my favorite character.
This video misses out the funniest bit..when the guy rolls up the wanted poster, Tuco says to him.."roll it up, roll it up..I'll give you a good idea where you can put it " !!
"Jackson! Carson..Carson..Yeah..Yeah..Glad to meet you, Carson. I am Lincoln's grandfather. What was that you said about the dollars?"
I watched 'The Good The Bad & The Ugly' for the first time in 1978, when I was seven. 'Tuco' was my most influencing character then. I believe he still is.
Yeah he is my favorite character in this movie too. Infact, he is one of my favorite character's in all movies, right up there with Rocky Balbao and Tony Montana.
Tuco is my favourite character too :D
