  • DUDE the quality is amazing! Atleast compared to the other video where you barely saw what Django played. I am so gonna learn this song by studying the video :)!!

  • fantastico!!!!

  • The romanticism within Django's music is irreplacable.

Consider also the deformed left hand and terrible pain he felt throughout the left side of his body everyday from the age of 18.

Reinhardt overcame odds that would destroy most musicians.

  • This guy is so damn good it hurts. This is true talent

  • SUPER CHIDO ,,,MAESTRO

  • Fucking TITS at 1:20 !

  • Thank you for posting this. It is awesome to see video of the greats.

  • Great post. I have most all of his recorded material. It is amazing to see him play it live !

  • @gtp754 ... You're right, it is a rare video-recorded Django and Stephane...

Truly amazing sound, magical and captivating, say hypnotizing. :-)

I can't stop listening to Django from the moment I began, almost 10 years ago.

It's funny how I read so many people here express how and when they became a fan,

it's as if it was the turning point in their lives where all of a sudden, they learned what music and melody is suppose to sound like and Django comes through like a champ. :-)

  • If you don't get this; well you just don't get it, which is a loss indeed by any ones count!

  • Is there more vid for this live?

  • This is awesome, 1:20 is fucking sick

  • what a world we live in? diamonds like Django with 25k hits, every greaser can spare a million on myspace,....

  • Django improvising really is something else. He hits the jazz rhythmic phrasing right on the spot, and his groove is tight, but the melodies... makes me want to cry, the amount of soul and romance and beauty in his music!

  • 1:20-1:22 Django shreds so hard!!

  • Django and Grappeli are superior musicians,Through past and present, it plays the highest peak in the world.

  • Django you still alive on my Ipod n_n

  • Timeless music! Django is great!!!

  • All Hail the Great Django !

  • Marvellous moment of marvellous music. In memory of Django Renihardt.

Can understand that not everyone could appreciate this but it requires a minimum of musical education and sensitivity ...

  • @ingriddidier Not true,I have no real musical education,(Jus tabs..haha)But I enjoyed this just as much as you did

  • @ingriddidier You're such a wanker

  • This precious music brings a bit of genuinely positive energy into this negative world to me.

  • amazing guys at playing, thanks for posting

  • The two guitarrists in the bottom are funny!!!!

  • Tsiganes français

  • Good Jazz ♫♪

  • this aint got shit on lil wayne!

  • @ningdoggjyfh You are entitled to your opinion... elsewhere

  • @ningdoggjyfh thats a joke, right? Not even in the same hemisphere

  • Beautiful - thanks for posting.

  • I can't find this version of the song anywhere, either. I can't believe it, because it's their best, IMHO. I have the version where Stephane Grappelli is playing piano, but it certainly doesn't live up to this one. Time to find a mp3 converter... thanks for uploading this!

  • @danihope713 First track on "Django Reinhardt - Intégrale 08 (1938-1939)", if that's helpful.

  • extra kawałek...

  • This song is amazing. It is a real shame though, I cannot for the life of me find it anywhere.

  • @MrGumbercules i gotta tell you, i ve converted this video to an mp3. I have 15 discs of Django and none of them contain this song.

  • @CatEatingAliens John Jorgenson does a very good version of this on his album, "Franco-American Swing."

  • actually django is from belgium

  • what was a complete joke?

  • there name is the hot club of france. i asked where they were from..... it was a joke

  • @greaserman44 Ignorant go study!

  • @greaserman44 No -that was not a complete joke-but you are a complete ASSHOLE.

  • @greaserman44 Nice trolling, ignoramus. Go away.

  • perfection....thank you.

  • I was a blues player for about 5 years, until I was 17 and I heard gypsy jazz for the firs time. It was the first music to make me sit up and think there was something more. Django is a hero to me, and Stephan was no slouch. He was a virtuoso too. I love this song in particular. Someone told me that it mean "wait."

  • my fav too.

  • Where do you GET these jewels? What joy - the only way to start the day properly is to listen to this - thank you, I haven't got this one.
