  • lol watch the bass player try to take over the guitar solo

  • I believe this was from an Ed Sullivan show and they did a medley of their songs then sang just a little of Temptation Eyes, not the whole song!! Still love this though!!!

  • The mod styles, bell-bottoms, red striped bells, peasant blouses and of course, the music. Really a fun time to be a teenager and/or young adult. Awesome time to be alive.

  • The best music ever to hit the country. So much good music didn't know what to listen to first.

  • At 1:35, Rick(?) looks a lot like Eddie Van Halen.

  • I'd say he had some temptation eyes of his own.

  • Would have been nice if the whole video was really Temptation Eyes instead of snippets of it. Nice Try!

  • 30 seconds untill the music! dam!!!

  • Year I graduated. Best groups and music ever. There will never be another era that includes the music put out during this time. 60's to early 70's.

  • I love this song!!!

  • AWESOME SONG!!! everytime i here this song it makes me think of someone that had those temptation eyes!!!!

  • There will never ever be another 70's. We had fun, a kind of enjoyable innocent fun that can't be described because it does not exist any longer.

  • @Education2010able in the 80's when i was a teen I hated the 70's now I miss that decade more then the 80 and up combined.

  • @Education2010able Eventually there will be a 2070's, but there will never be a 1970's...

  • Who on earth could not be impressed by Rob Grill's vocals on this fabulous song? Wow! And how could the late 1960's - early 1970's be so jam packed with dozens of rock/pop groups of this great caliber? So many superb groups . . . The Grass Roots, The Guess Who, America, The Doobie Brothers, The Hollies, CCR, The Bee Gees, Grand Funk Railroad and on and on and on. I'm very thankful to have been a young teen during these halcyon days of music.

  • @dar2960 Meaningful, powerful and harmonious sounds from an era that will be forever embedded in our hearts and memories-I AGREE with you 1000%!!!!!

  • that's a beautiful voice that's been silenced

  • RIP Rob Grill. Of all the 60's pop/rock bands, The Grassroots were my favorite. I was in the stage band and when the Roots used horns in their songs much like Blood, Sweat & Tears, I went grazy. I was the drummer. It's amazing how many hit records these guys had.

  • RIP......

  • Your music will forever live on Rob Grill. Go to Heaven now and sing to the Angels.

  • My deepest sympathy to all his family and friends. It is a great loss. I am so sad myself because this music really brought joy to me.

  • @clubmidnightsun Saw one of his friends last night -- in fact his fishing buddy Corey Wells of Three Dog Night. National media did a lousy job of mentioning his death.

  • Rest in Peace, Rob...my condolescences to his family and friends.

  • I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS....something drew me to search the band on my way home from work, and now I find Grill passed. I am sad, shocked...let's live for today!

  • Rock-n-Roll Heaven is fuller tonight.

RIP, Rob. You made so many people happy with your music.

  • RIP Rob grill, and thanks for all the great music!!

  • i loooooooove it!!!

  • i love this song i love all of their songs this is what you call music

  • Does anyone know whats going on with Rob? On facebook many are wishing him better health. Last time I seen him, 2008 he was limping and had a cane on stage.

  • @marfragg I just heard that he passed away today after falling a couple of weeks ago. He was 67 years old. So very sad.

  • @marfragg he passed away today :( had a fall about a couple of weeks ago, followed by a couple strokes. He was only 67

  • Creed left in '69. To work in an office.

  • Love that vinyl start... 70's rock!

  • I always loved these guys. Blue eyed soul at its best!!

  • WHERE IS CREEEEEEDDD??? so bummed not 2 c him in this lineup!! boooooo

  • @realcoolmofo

    Creed is playing the drums!

  • One of the best guitar solos in pop music...great tone and soulful note choices. Terry Furlong, second guitarist, wrote a FANTASTIC song that was covered by Three Dog Night, called "My Impersonal Life." One of my personal favorites, you can find it on "Harmony." (1971)

  • I love these guys!! And what a groovy tune baby!!!

  • Loved listening to the Grass Roots thanks Ginny for introducing me to this music.

  • when I met the GR's Joel was on drum.......

  • I read in a magazine somewhere that one of these guys is now on the cast of "The Office." I wonder which one.

  • Creed.

  • @mrdudelz One of the guitarists plays Creed.

  • @mrdudelz Creed isn't in this version of the band

  • I know Rob Grill is on bass and Rick Koonce is on drums. I have three questions:

    1. Is that Dennis Provisor on keyboards?

    2. Is Warren Entner in this video, and which Gibson guitar is he playing, the sunburst one or the red one?

    3. Who is the fifth member in the group?

  • @JayBBluejay The second guitarist is Terry Furlong.

  • @JayBBluejay Also Dennis is in this video on the keyboards. Warren is in the video and is not playing the red gibson looks like he is playing a gibson ES-335 sunburst.
