@Alexhallkiller Adam Emmernecker. He was the MVC MVP that year. Drake was a huge cinderella story, as was his performance that year.

I remember this game like it was yesterday...I was in Bowling Green at a bar with some friends watching the game (I had skipped class to do so) and when he made that shot the place ERUPTED!! beer and food flying everywhere....hugging people you didn't know...it was AWESOME!!! and Ty was a friend of mine too so it was great to see him make the shot...

Drake wasn't overrated, they had won 21 games in a row to finish the season and beat 8th ranked Butler by a considerable amount in Indianapolis. The committee would've been hard-pressed to give them less than a 5.

I remember how pissed I was Drake came back from that huge lead to win. I was one of the only people in my pool with WKY winning. I was watching the game with two of my friends... When he hit that shot, I jumped up and down. Ran outside and did a snow angel in my front lawn.

this wasn't even an upset. Drake was completely overrated and didn't deserve the fifth seed. Western Kentucky had the better team.

I dunno if Drake was overrated exactly...they had been ranked most of the season and probably deserved a 5. That said if you saw a tourney game of WKU vs. Drake it seems like a fairly even matchup.

@NickMorganFilms In my dorm room ready to head back to Louisville for the weekend, but just had to stick around to watch this one. I was frustrated as hell that WKU had such dominance in the first half, and then in the second they let Drake back in.

This was just a phenomenal basketball game, there was no way it could have ended better. Drake played well, Western Kentucky played well. They ended up almost coming back from about 25 down against UCLA to move to the elite 8.
