when I went a year ago to a dermatologist, she asked me why I was waiting so long. I'm now 20 and still have some problems, but my skin looks sooooo much better. I get so many compliments and nearly everyone realised that my skin looks better.

This is really inspiring Jen. In your past history how did you deal with acne? Your skin is perfect. there's no trace of a past of bad acne. I'm so self conscious of my skin and it's one of my biggest insecurities. I hate looking people in the eye and I always feel discouraged when I go out with friends. How did you cope with it? Even though I use make up, it doesn't look any better. I want to see a dermatologist but my korean mom won't let me. she & my eemo's believes that han-yak is the answer
I think your videos are amazing. I've spent my whole life with low self esteem and seeing how beautiful you are, I doubt you would ever have the same problems. You are absolutely inspiring. <3
Thanks for sharing your story. I can relate, because I suffered with acne as a teen. It was horrible. In the end, I found that natural cures worked the best for me, and I tried all kinds of pills and potions that weren't suitable for my type of acne.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with your face!! lol im currently on retin a and there is not one spot on my face that doesn't have cystic acne, it hurts to even touch my face! i always cry when i look at myself in the mirror

There was a time when I was bullied being asian and I was sad to b it. But now I am proud to b what I am! I was always sad that I haven't got big eyes and can't do like smokey eyes. hi jen, i just wanted to say thank you and that youre a sweetheart. i battled acne since i was young..im still fighting it. ppl would also tell me to fix it like it was my fault and so for many years i would be so down on myself. i went to the doctor before and gave me prescription drugs but it didnt do anything. ive used all kinds of facial cleansers moisturizers and ointments. ive even gone to korea for laser treatment but im still scarring and breaking out but im still hopeful thanks to you!
i used to have horrible acne in 6th grade and boys in my english class drew my face on the board and labeled the picture that it was me and called me pickle face. videos with no makeup is inspirational to everyone

this is amazing! im 13, love makeup a great deal,but my bad, dry skin made me feel unsure about chasing my dream of becoming a healthy skin girl promoting skin care and makeup tips but this really made me feel like that there's still hope for me and my skin. Aww. Jen, I'm so glad you messaged me back. Pretty people always intimidated me and I didn't know how to act around them or what to say. But you showed us that pretty, ugly, average, or beautiful, we're all the same on the inside. Hearing you talk about that stuff made me remember how I covered my face with my hair because I felt so ugly all the time, but it also made me remember how I've grown over the years. i really loved this video, i have had acne since im 10 or 11 and im 19 and still have bad acne even though i been in treatment with a doctor for almost 2 years you could still see so many imperfections in my face and i just sometimes dont feel beautiful even though i want to i just keep it up with medication and keeping my skin clean and healthy i just hope some day it will go away
you are such a gorgeous, inspirational woman! I've had acne since I was eleven. I have the eczema on my neck. I've had the family telling me what I should do. Even a customer at work once. Let's just say I get the persistent acne from my father and the hyper-pigmentation from my mother, so it's really a lose lose. It's been so hard to be confident, and i'm 21, these are supposed to be the best years. You've taught me it does get better, and every time I watch this I feel less alone in this :)
u make me cry!!!i have acne problem as well....i feel very upset about it...i saw a doctor before, it gets up better, but it is very expensive.... after i stop the treatment....the acne comes again.... i use make up to cover it, but it can't cover my heart's hole... however u make me feel better. i hope i can get well soon just like u!!!!:)
this really made me tear up a bit, mainly because i have really bad skin and acne. my family is always pointing it out and it's quite frustrating sometimes. i've tried a lot of things, but it just doesn't seem to work. and sometimes i just feel like giving up.

I recently subscribed and I just love your videos. I struggled with acne and scarring. I dealt with it ever since I was really young because I hit puberty at a young age. I had so much acne, scars, high pigmentation. I had such low self-esteem. Now my skin is doing great, with the exception of a few scars and some acne from time to time. I find it great that you did this video and women should be proud of their beauty and not ashamed of what they look like without make-up.
It may sound really stupid, but im kinda afraid to ask my mother if she want to go to the docter with me, for my acne. cause its not that bad but I struggle with it. but I feel such a dramaqueen you know..
@moyayable ask her to go to the dermatologist before it can get worse, trust me! i didnt wanna go when my acne was mild but then it got reallyyy bad so she took me and now its under control. Now im left with acne scars though -__- dont end up like me!

Thank you for making this video....I've been battling cystic hormonal acne since i hit puberty nearly 12 years ago. i've tried everything under the sun, some have worked wonders but most didn't. I tried to quit and go natural with just simple treatments but the acne would come back...it seems like i'll always be on pills for a while. Hi, Jen :). When I first watched one of your videos, I thought you were those typical girls that were full of themselves *honestly*. I think that feeling stemmed partly from your prettiness and also because I've never watched any of your other videos. But then I watched more and more of your videos, and I realized you are a really genuine and sweet person. Plus, you are beautiful even without makeup! So thanks for making this video because we women could all learn a thing or two from it.

I think you're pretty without your make up too. I personally don't wear make up. My mother has been hesitant about the whole thing and I feel like it's more of a hassle to learn at this point. I have other things I want to do, and make up took a backseat in my mind. I mean I enjoy seeing other people with make up and stuff. And when my skin breaks out horribly those are the times I wish I wore make up so I could cover it up. You're a real inspiration. Thank you~!

I would really be grateful if you answered this question, please help because I am so desperate for advice for my acne, my doctor prescribed me an antibiotic but I'm scared I'll have to take these for the rest of my life. I really want to show this to my best friend because she's just like you said, she hides herself behind makeup and lots of it..she has lots of insecurities and she is not confident about herself..everyone I know says she is soo pretty and beautiful but she still thinks that she's not good enough or perfect enough. I also struggle with acne. and it made me not confident and the guys were like strarring at my zit and they were ill of me. it really drop my confident into 0 and just act like nothing happen. i really hate it the way people see a person that have an acne

I love your videos and I just recently saw your videos! I'm facing the same problem as you had last time. Acnes on my forehead and cheeks. Went to the doctor and he gave me medicines, but it made me feel sick with fever and cause me dizziness all the time! I couldn't cope with it! I'm trying to solve my problems now using natural and organic homemade masks. :)

" when i heard that , i was shock and really hurt . the thing that hurt me the most was that she kept on telling me almost every time i see her. she also insulted my acne cause usually at the age of 12 you don't get about 20 pimples on your face, whiteheads and blackheads but i did . it was horrible she kept on insulting me . /:

i can understand when relatives ask "do you wash your face?" or "have you tried this cleanser?"...my sister suffers from acne and relatives can be THE WORST :( especially asian ones -_____-'
jen, you are so sweet and honest! i'm turning 30 and im still struggling with acne and it's depressing. i don't use any makeup and i still break out and left with marks and scars. i feel so hopeless but watching this video and seeing how sincere you are gave me some hope. you are beautiful with or without makeup and now even more after seeing your heart to heart video. because you have a beautiful heart! i wish one day my face will clear up so i can bear to look at myself in the mirror.
@kay818 I struggled with acne for 10 years and was so depressed because my siblings are all beautiful.
I tried everything and finally something worked, my doctor prescribed retrieve cream.
It cleared my skin but made my face so red and whenever I try to stop using it my acne comes back.
I tried a korean product sulwhasoo basic care you can buy a trial kit in e-bay and now I stopped using acne meds but my skin is getting better everyday it is all made of herbs I hope it helps

I'm still struggling with my acne!! Like you, I've been struggling with my acne for so many years. I've changed a lot of my skin care routines. My acne only completely cleared off after I gave birth to my firstborn (about 6 yrs ago). However, I still make sure to keep up on my skin care routine to prevent any more breakouts. I still research and try other skin products.
im struggling with acne so much..esp when i turned 20..it turned out to be hormonal acne =( ive been on medication for 2 months...im still waitin for results =( but im glad your your acne cleared up! and your skin is nice even with out make up !

u make me cry!!!i have acne problem as well....i feel very upset about it...i saw a doctor before, it gets up better, but it is very expensive.... after i stop the treatment....the acne comes again.... i use make up to cover it, but it can't cover my heart's hole... however u make me feel better. i hope i can get well soon just like u!!!!:)

this really made me tear up a bit, mainly because i have really bad skin and acne. my family is always pointing it out and it's quite frustrating sometimes. i've tried a lot of things, but it just doesn't seem to work. and sometimes i just feel like giving up.

I recently subscribed and I just love your videos. I struggled with acne and scarring. I dealt with it ever since I was really young because I hit puberty at a young age. I had so much acne, scars, high pigmentation. I had such low self-esteem. Now my skin is doing great, with the exception of a few scars and some acne from time to time. I find it great that you did this video and women should be proud of their beauty and not ashamed of what they look like without make-up.

@moyayable ask her to go to the dermatologist before it can get worse, trust me! i didnt wanna go when my acne was mild but then it got reallyyy bad so she took me and now its under control. Now im left with acne scars though -__- dont end up like me!

Thank you for making this video....I've been battling cystic hormonal acne since i hit puberty nearly 12 years ago. i've tried everything under the sun, some have worked wonders but most didn't. I tried to quit and go natural with just simple treatments but the acne would come back...it seems like i'll always be on pills for a while. I never realized that all the comments from ppl were having an effect on me til I watched this video and I started crying like a baby. your strength is inspiring!

Hi, Jen :). When I first watched one of your videos, I thought you were those typical girls that were full of themselves *honestly*. I think that feeling stemmed partly from your prettiness and also because I've never watched any of your other videos. I think you're pretty without your make up too. I personally don't wear make up. My mother has been hesitant about the whole thing and I feel like it's more of a hassle to learn at this point. I have other things I want to do, and make up took a backseat in my mind. I mean I enjoy seeing other people with make up and stuff. And when my skin breaks out horribly those are the times I wish I wore make up so I could cover it up. You're a real inspiration. Thank you~!

I would really be grateful if you answered this question, please help because I am so desperate for advice for my acne, my doctor prescribed me an antibiotic but I'm scared I'll have to take these for the rest of my life. Wow this video is so great! I really want to show this to my best friend because she's just like you said, she hides herself behind makeup and lots of it..she has lots of insecurities and she is not confident about herself..everyone I know says she is soo pretty and beautiful but she still thinks that she's not good enough or perfect enough. It makes me really sad and I hope I can show this video to her so she can finally realize that you don't need to be perfect to be beautiful! XD

I also struggle with acne. and it made me not confident and the guys were like strarring at my zit and they were ill of me. it really drop my confident into 0 and just act like nothing happen. i really hate it the way people see a person that have an acne

I love your videos and I just recently saw your videos! I'm facing the same problem as you had last time. Acnes on my forehead and cheeks. Went to the doctor and he gave me medicines, but it made me feel sick with fever and cause me dizziness all the time! I couldn't cope with it! I'm trying to solve my problems now using natural and organic homemade masks. :)

i know how you feel . > < one of my best friend's mom insulted me by saying this " wow , you're getting pretty now , all you have to do is lose about 10 pounds . " when i heard that , i was shock and really hurt . the thing that hurt me the most was that she kept on telling me almost every time i see her. she also insulted my acne cause usually at the age of 12 you don't get about 20 pimples on your face, whiteheads and blackheads but i did . it was horrible she kept on insulting me . /:

jen, you are so sweet and honest! i'm turning 30 and im still struggling with acne and it's depressing. i don't use any makeup and i still break out and left with marks and scars. i feel so hopeless but watching this video and seeing how sincere you are gave me some hope. you are beautiful with or without makeup and now even more after seeing your heart to heart video. because you have a beautiful heart! i wish one day my face will clear up so i can bear to look at myself in the mirror.

@kay818 I struggled with acne for 10 years and was so depressed because my siblings are all beautiful.
I tried everything and finally something worked, my doctor prescribed retrieve cream.
It cleared my skin but made my face so red and whenever I try to stop using it my acne comes back.
I tried a korean product sulwhasoo basic care you can buy a trial kit in e-bay and now I stopped using acne meds but my skin is getting better everyday it is all made of herbs I hope it helps

I'm still struggling with my acne!! Like you, I've been struggling with my acne for so many years. I've changed a lot of my skin care routines. My acne only completely cleared off after I gave birth to my firstborn (about 6 yrs ago). However, I still make sure to keep up on my skin care routine to prevent any more breakouts. I still research and try other skin products.
