  • @TheFIlmGuyOne I had lots of crashes too, about 10 a day

i have formatted my computer, and it work's flawleslly.

    HF

  • but wont the sand get all over the computer?

  • I want to engineer this stuff at google

  • *opens up task manager*

HOLYSHITWHEREDIDALLTHESECHROMEPROCESSESCOMEFROM AND WHICH ARE MY EXTENTIONS AND WHICH ARE MY TABS?

  • ie, safari, marxtohon, opera, firefox, bill gates, messi and obama don't like the video

  • I've been watching your videos, they're great...looking forward for more.

  • @juliacotic you are talking to a official channel you know...

  • wow this is great it really works on my cell

  • from 0:30 to 0:36 i have to say is bullshit :/

  • I <3 google!

  • put -no-sandbox in the properties??? need an answer please

  • I cannot deny I like Chrome.

  • 0:20 intresting!

  • Awesome visualizations. :)

  • @PeteAnimation lol fail for him/her then...

  • so i can click on all the porn i want without negative effects :D

  • I have a MacBook Pro. Sooooooo..... Yeah u STFU.

  • 8 people are malicious hackers.

  • It's still not perfect but it's a great idea and already saved works I had in other tabs (:

  • @isa0ber This. I have a lot of pinned tabs. Sandboxing means that with one tab crashing or not responding, the rest aren't affected. Sadly, it doesn't happen in IE..... :P

  • The fact that Chrome runs each tab as separate processes is what got me to use it originally, and I have had no regrets since. Crashing has happened, but it hasn't been a problem like it was on firefox. (Sorry, firefox. I love you You still beat internet exploder by a lot) Also, since this computer is brand new and I recently bought more RAM for my old computer, RAM usage has not been an issue. Thanks Google, I just adore this browser. It doesn't have any of the issue mys others have had.

  • phew. I got a totally fake message that said "it will perform a scan of your system files" Haha I just ended that process, and it was gone....Thanks Chrome!

  • @Dell0304 Yeah, they are awesome. They control Android and everything else So awesome, that they are one of the leaders :DDDD

  • WHat if a thing from inside the sandbox jumps out?? WHy cal it a sandbox if there's no celling to block jumps?

  • lol people everywhere ranting about RAM usage..... get better ram people and enjoy the benefits of chrome hahahah...

sure chrome is not a perfect browser... but what's better?

  • that green monster looks like a booger.

  • Tab sandboxing = Increased CPU/memory usage but you get increase stability and security in return.

  • my chrome frequenly shuts down and says it wont work because of this.... any advice?

  • i <3 chrome :D and its epicawesomeness!

  • Yes, spend no more time self-educating and trying to reach maximum potential, instead let them manage all your crap while you bathe in pure lack of knowledge.

  • Cool beans!! :)

  • Chrome is the best, but they need to make some good quality themes!

  • two kids in a sandbox

  • the best browser in the whole fucking world.... Thanks google :)

  • Delicious Bot-net, but I would rather use Firefox, thanks.

  • @DomelBf2PL How is Chrome a bot-net? You make no sense.

  • Y DONDE SE DESCARGA

  • @leomessi963 -.-

  • Sounds like heavier resource use.

  • about:crash XD !!

  • @MetallicaHomero1215 You're EVIL!

  • It only protects and updates flash and pdf. What about the other plugins?

  • @linyuan123 It protects all plugins.

  • @ErlendRampRamp Oh, I thought it said only flash and pdf.

  • @linyuan123 well, i thinkt each tab is locked inside a vault (or sandbox, if you like) where one tab's plugins cant access the other tab's plugins. Thats my theory

  • @ErlendRampRamp that's the point

  • @linyuan123 yup, and that theory would include all plugins out there =)

  • Yeah screw your sandboxing, why am I going to use a browser when I can't read what the hell it displays! your "zoom" isn't just good enough, you must allow us to use BIGGER FONTS - fucking amateur children with perfect vision

  • @gogledoessuck Settings>Options>Under The Hood>scroll down>Change font and language settings

Welcome to the internet. Here's your complimentary soap box and dunce hat. :)

  • Fun tip: Since Chrome uses multiple processes, if it hangs for some reason , it's usually Flash. Press Shift-Esc to open the Chrome task manager, kill Flash, and your browser works without having to force quit it.

The same works if an individual tab is sluggish or dead too.

  • The dude talking HAS to be the guy from zeitgeist!!

  • love the jumping viruses. lol

  • @Nathan2all97 Well said, I am on Ubuntu 11.04 now.

  • Now I wish the chrome sandbox REALLY worked like this. Not nearly as good a sandbox as sandboxie or geswall.

  • @belmarfilms It basically does. The only problem with the Chrome sandbox (when compared to, say, Sandboxie) is that non-sandboxed plugins can still be exploited (Java, Quicktime, etc). Chrome does detect outdated versions and disables them in the event of a major vulnerability being detected, but it's still not a perfect solution.

  • Lot of monster virus in my hotmail. :(

  • i like the little virus monsters (rawrrr) :)

  • cool....

  • A little confusing, but I think that this sandboxing is a great idea. If Google ever takes over the internet, at least we know they are helping us and keeping us users safe rather than benefiting themselves.

  • О чём он базарит?))

  • right now theyere paying 20,000 or 200,000 to hack chrome and get a CR-48

  • yaaaay googlmocracy!

  • Seperate process... I just don't like when I have 10 Chromes in my Task Manager... My only problem with Chrome is this...

I can't say other issue about Chrome, everything is GREAT in this browser. Fast, stable, it has easy-to-use GUI, user friendly,...

  • Do google make software that isn't easy to use, i've not come across it yet.

  • @Gorgporg Google Wawe

  • COMMENTS 53. 'nuff said!

  • they should make an OS

  • @kilerngbayan247 agreed... and if it could play Microsoft games, i believe 100% that it would be the best OS man has ever seen.

  • @kilerngbayan247 Derp.

  • this whole thing is perfect for college students.

  • Does this prevent drive by downloads? I dont see how it would as the exploits continue to evolve to avoid encapsulation. I just had a tough one that caused craptastic windows vista to be reformat.

  • Hardest game of snake ever!

  • Chrome the best

  • 0:30 - 0:36... Untrue. I had crashes on one tab and the ehole browser crashes >:(

  • I love google chrome and google is definitely the best thing on the internet!

  • Skynet ... I mean Google rules!

  • I'm so in love with google

  • I like the part with the pixels on my screen changing color in order to produce a colored image so that my brain can interpret them as a video...and testicals...that is all

  • I like Chrome, but "sandbox" is nowhere to be found. Just five minutes ago one tab crashed, others never reacted at all, so everything hanged. Windows suggested to close Chrome, so I did.

  • ... Wait, i'm on mozilla fire fox. Does that mean loads of weird monster aliens will jump out of my browser and kill me? o-o

  • @MeowMixMadness Haha nope, but they will jump out and kill everything on your hard drive

  • I like the Idea of the sandbox but how long has it been in chrome? Ive used chrome ever sense it was released and Ive gotten around 3 viruses that affected my computer when I was using chrome. The reason I ask how long sandboxing has been around is because if it was in google chrome when I got the viruses then that means it failed.

  • I adore Google Chrome!

  • this is false. I have every tab crash at the same time. Also, when flash crashes on one tab it will crash on all tabs that have Flash open. And if that malware moves to your temporary files on your computer Google can't contain it in their so-called "sandbox".

  • @FurtherIllusions Ya same thing, sadness.

  • The idea of having every tab run it's own process was originally by some guy on VB.net forums who did it. I wonder if google got the idea from him or if they came up with it by them selfs too.

  • The 4 basic food groups are Google, Chrome, YouTube, Android.

  • @elpresidio Google as in (all things Google)

  • That sound too cool :D

  • Google is my god

  • I say no.

  • what kind of find is at the end? the "google,com/chrome/security" i like the font and GOOGLE AND CHROME WILL TAKE OVER THE INTERNET!! YEAH

  • I like the part where he said "Chrome".

  • Can you some how make the Sandboxing not eat my ram like a crazy beast.

Also sometimes when my plugin dies

it dies on all my tabs so it isn't prefect yet

  • @SteampunkPagan Sounds useless :)

  • @SteampunkPagan yes, but when you reload, it brings you back from the dead, some relief

  • Sand In The Box = Sandbox

  • I can't wait to replace Windows OS with a Chrome OS.

  • This video looks like an Epipheo video.

  • the whole "sandboxing" feature eats RAM like crazy … but I guess it's a small thing to pay for an extra security …

  • Please allow the Firebug on Chrome (not Firebug lite, but the full version). Until then, I'm not moving to Chrome. But i REALLY want to use it, as a web developer :(

  • Chrome is the BEST browser!

  • Unfortunately, there's something called sub-tabs in Chrome. Which actually will be the same characteristic as the parent-tab. So if one of the tab crashed those all will crashed at the same time! So where's sandbox?

  • @mhaidarhanif In all parent tabs...?You should open totally different websites in different tabs anyway, sub-tab functionality is for different types webpages is a must for certain web-interfaces. (Like for school web interfaces, or company side web-interfaces) Future implementations won't be able to run in a sandbox mode wherein a change on one web page needs to change another interactively, you need a means to have the ability to create these types of interfaces, sub-tabs provides this means.

  • @jackalsocoke Well, not always must be totally different websites, when you open a new tab from on A to B, you will get the same parent tab, which is A. Then when you linked to C from A, you'll also get A as the parent tab. Another thing you and I should know, I'm using Dev version. So it can crashes frequently. That's the other reason why, not Chrome's fault, neither Sandbox mode. Thanks for reply.

  • Chrome is Г

  • OMG. Another great reason to use Google Chrome. GET IT NOW!

  • Meh. You can still get rooted by a Java Drive-by if the dropper is crypted enought. I just tested a rootkit for a friend and it passed though Chrome 9 Dev and ESET Smart Security 4.2 like it was nothing.

  • @devineRO Maybe Google woild pay you, if you gonna submit this to them.:)

  • @Mephistopelus Well it's nothing new. Every browser has this. It's just the way you pack the mallware to be inconspicuous

  • @devineRO This is what they called "security"? It's sad, though...

  • @Mephistopelus Well it's JAVA's fault they haven't patch it yet. When they will collaborate with Chrome team to sandbox the plugin itself (like Flash has) it will become obsolete.

  • @devineRO Good to know, thanks. I really didn't knew this.

  • @Mephistopelus No problem. Been dealing with security a lot since I joined the alterIWnet project.

  • Google is taking over the interwebz! and i like it

  • @jegvilhais I wholeheartedly agree. Although, I am a bit of a Google fanboy. So.....what's Yahoo done for us lately?

  • @DarkEvilWorm002 Actually a fun fact, Yahoo was offered to buy google when it was only a small little thing, but turned them down, i wonder who is laughing now ^^

  • @jegvilhais *laughs*. Google should now buy up Yahoo and send a message saying "you had an opportunity to stop this"
