well athrun can't pilot a zaku or savior properly and talk to shin to stop fightinh in their fight

Atually I beg too differ. Athrun was extemely formidable with the Zaku, he easily defeated Sting's Choas Gundam at the Junius Seven drop. It was when he got Saviour he became crap

I don't think he was that bad in the Saviour. The machine has excellent mobility and manoeuvribility through changing modes. It's just that Athrun's not the type that wants to kill his opponents. Probably the most powerful one he faced is the Chaos, that didn't even let him get too close.

Whadda ya mean Chaos didnt let him get in Close? Arthrun was avoiding it most of the time, even Sting got pissed off shouting "STOP RUNNING". As for the "not the type to kill his enemies" he destoyed a windam during his first fight with Chaos in the Saviour. I'm not saying Saviour is a bad unit just Athrun never used it any where near its full potenial.

Sting followed Neo's commands most of the time in flanking the Saviour. Although Athrun did manage to get in close for a moment a few times.

Yeah, maybe Athrun didn't use it to its full potential (which will most likely be if he goes to SEED mode.), but we don't even know what the "full potential" defines in that MS (which can be very destructive).

Sting was acting on his own his own accord in the beginning of the fight, he was then ordered by Neo to flank Saviour after all Windams were destroyed by Shin. While Stellar was holding off Shin, Neo and Sting would take out the bigger threat. After that battle Sting fought on his own accord since then and Neo wasn't there to give him orders.

SEED-mode doesn't have anything to do with not using your unit properly

the way they textured the ground is a nice trick... it makes you think there are buildings and all on the ground. only works from up high tho
