Obviously NILE doesn't sound anything like Amon Amarth, but they both are similar in the fact that the visualise the music back into the past. NILE has an Egyption theme, and Amon Amath has a viking norseman thing going on. So yeah. Both bands that are going down in history.

they're recording quality has defintelty improved...but thats to be expected,legacy of the catacombs for example has one of the most inconsistent volumes from song to song, half the time it sounds like a mixed cd....the songs are killer though dont get me wrong

I thought TWTGD was their best work yet. Utterances of the Crawling Dead and Iskander D'hul Karnon bring out the speed and brutality in Nile, and the title song really brings out the musicianship.

Their older works (such as this one) are alright, but they seem a little bland. The vocals sound raspy and incomprehensible and the riffs sound a little too basic. But then again that's just me. I love their works such as Sarcophagus, Ruins and ETGMD.
