  • THIS SONG IS AWESOME!!! One of Nile's best songs..(to me)

  • and it ends in the middle of the fucking solo...

    aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • nile=death metal gods

  • Leave this pic. showoff

  • @SpiritMolecule1 karmablade blows

  • What? It just fucking cuts out in the middle of the song?

  • What? It just fucking cuts out in the middle of the song?

  • @XenoJesus Oh, he just wanted to use the music to compliment that awesome slide show he made....

  • Man I think technical death metal is the best genre of music period, haters feel free to hate =)

  • @FirePower3006 for me it's just death metal because there are so many sub genres of death metal including tech death, brutal death, atmospheric death etc. but yes tech death fucking rules

  • Drink your fill at the well

  • Trolls will Troll

  • like the music but I don't like the vocals. not meant to be a troll comment. i liked the video.

  • someone put up the 8 minute version!!! please!

  • Brutal riffs!!! \m/-_-\m/

  • @63AIONSON Anti semitic? They've never even mentioned anything relating to the jews. And Nile are hardly affected by the emo scene, what the hell are you on about?

  • para k das tu msn?????

  • This is real early Nile when emo was not around and Nile had that really raw feeling not that they don't kick ass, 100% percent unrefined pure Anti Semitic mental

  • @63AIONSON im not sure but are you saying they have been influenced by "emo" in their newer stuff ?

because i don't see that at all

  • @63AIONSON Anti-semitic? What the hell are you talking about? I demand a textual reference.

  • @Rhademanthus This is Nile a anti Jewish metal band non Semitism, hence Nile Pharaoh vs Israelites, Nile!

  • @63AIONSON Pretty sure the band would take issue with that claim if you presented it in front of them.

  • I am tempted to say in the days when night were longer in the time when your were'nt here' what am I on about yeah right! so I will say this was is Nile in a time when metal was metal and woman were glad no what I mean? why am I thinking "Nile Fuck Yeah!

  • where is the rest? :(

  • Awesome song. Amazingly atmospheric intro, amazing and original ending, skull-crushingly heavy middle that reminds me of early Black Sabbath, only far heavier.

  • THIS IS WHY DEATH METAL WHOOPS THE SHIT OUT OF HARDCORE WIGGERS!!!!!!!!

  • i respect that they are not into being inked. that's a personal choice. but damn, they would look godlike with some bad ass Egyptian themed tats.

  • Only gods can touch those guitars.

  • INCOMPLETE. Why??

  • is it just me, or does the flute solo at the end sound like a guitar riff from iced earth?

i just can't put my finger on the song... hmm.. i was thikning desert rain but i don't know.

  • @gloriaelanna maybe Damian or something else off of Horror Show

  • the intro is AMAZINGLY good

  • I'm not a fan of Nile, but it seems the more I listen the more I feel inclined to them

This intro would be an awesome showstarter, though.

  • @Azria032 I know exactly what you mean

  • What makes this band even more amazing is that Karl Sanders does his research for the lyrics of each album. He doesn't just make shit up as he goes along. He actually knows his stuff. NILE FOR LIFE!!!

  • Obviously NILE doesn't sound anything like Amon Amarth, but they both are similar in the fact that the visualise the music back into the past. NILE has an Egyption theme, and Amon Amath has a viking norseman thing going on. So yeah. Both bands that are going down in history.

  • Fucking epic shit.

  • Nile is absolutely THE SHIT! Along with Death, two of the most under appreciated Metal groups out there!

  • @JeszeeLaw Let's not forget morbid angel and decapitated......

  • @undert8er thank you.

  • Karl's double neck guitar is just soo fucking badass!!!!

  • :47 that's the guitar I have!

  • SOOO good if you have never seen this band you have no idea what you are missing

  • I like this..it's a Nile song that's kinda more grinding and not as chaotic lol. Nice to hear a change.

  • holy jizz!

  • awesome

  • Holy fuckin shit, they accually SING for a bit in this song!!!! Thats it, this is the best band ever. Ive only known about this guys for about a week and they completely destroy every other band I know. Rock on fellow schmucks.

  • That is the dumbest looking guitar

  • @JoshMannis It Doesn't Matter What It Looks Like As Long As The Playability And Tone Is Good

  • @dmetalguitarist89 - If you have a guitar made that looks like that, then you're obviously very concerned with appearances. Making your band about egyptology is already very non-metal, but a marvel comics looking outer space guitar is so douchebag it's stunning that these guys don't get beat up at every show. Why is metal so nerdy now?

  • @JoshMannis Your A Dumb-ass You Know Nothing About True Metal Musicians,And Ive Met Them Many Times,They Would Whip Your Ass @JoshMannis

  • @dmetalguitarist89 yeh nile is brutal and would destroy everthing u know and understand dont listen to it your not aloud the gods say it ti be so

  • they're recording quality has defintelty improved...but thats to be expected, legacy of the catacombs for example has one of the most inconsistent volumes from song to song, half the time it sounds like a mixed cd....the songs are killer though dont get me wrong

  • @paegun legacy of the catacombs is a compilation album, which would explain inconsistencies

  • @lorenzojhwh Fuck you, with cancer you king of shit!! You can suck a dead donkey dick in in the name of jesus. Fuck you and your god and his diseases. If god is so loving and just then why curse us.

  • @1981MetalManiac That dude must be trolling or stupid or something. God didn't curse you though, your curses are a result of not following God. But seriously lets not start a religious discussion unless it has to do with egyptian Gods or beliefs.. >.>

  • @MF0TY

I hope you dont TRULY believe that. That is the mentality that turns people away from religion in general. The guy didnt even say what his "curses" were and you automatically assume its from no believing in god. It could be from actions hes done in the past or just dumb luck. I can only hope you understand what Im trying to say so you dont end up being a typical religious wacko that hates everybody or something.

  • @blacklegionairsoft1 If everyone behaved the way God had intended there wouldn't be stds and people would not be wasting money on weapons they could put it toward science, I do believe we're too sinful and fucked up to have a perfect world where science could but if people weren't prideful and power obsessed then a lot of diseases that exist could be cured, and as far as curses whether he's talking about life problems or disease most would be solved if people followed the ten commandments.. :P

  • @MF0TY

Theres no such things as "sins." dumbass. We are ALWAYS going to spend money on weapons and shit because its human nature to compete for resources. Its simple EVOLUTION. Without a competitive spirit and desire to kill, mankind wouldnt have thrived and do things like create civilization. The 10 commandments go against human nature btw. We do what we can to survive, kill, steal, have many sexual partners, and distrust those we see as threats. Stop believing that and STOP MESSAGING ME!!!

  • @blacklegionairsoft1 And I think Tom Araya put it best when he said "I hate everyone equally, you can't tare that out of me, no separation, segregation just me and my world of enemies!"

  • @blacklegionairsoft1 Slayer puns and my moral beliefs aside, this is a really bad ass metal band.

  • @lorenzojhwh Yes, sex is evil. God doesn't want us to have sex. This is why he made hard wired to want it. Logic fail, my friend, haha.

  • HOOO MY FUCKIGN GOD!!!! O_O 1:22 most epic flying V EVARRRR

  • @devonpenner though the most cool one is Jimi Hendrix's psychedelic flying v by gibson. Gotta have one of those some day..

    Kick-ass stuff this nile btw.

  • @progemetalheadbanger i doooooon't knoooow ;]

  • far from their best on this album in my opinion.. still good stuff..

  • nile's old stuff is the best! Also, I got to shake Karl's hand on Friday.

  • FLUTE SOLO! FUCK YEAR!

  • Wow!! Nile has changed so much for the better!!!!

  • damm! this song is nice. im seeing them and grave in eindhoven 19 december!! cant wait

  • Hail Ra !

    (wow that looks cool xd)

  • 2:21 i wanna go explore that egyption tomb right there with this song playing

  • sick intro YAAY FOR METAL STUFF WOOT

  • hell yeah this is some brutal shit right here death metal 4 life!

  • Want to jizz your pants? Take a listen to their new album. Heaviest death metal album I've ever listened to in my life. None of that pussy bullshit... simply straight up fast, epic brutality.

  • wait just one god damn second ..

so your gonna sit there and tell me straight up, that the new cd is exactly like the other eight?!?!

    who would have guessed

  • No. The other eight cds were epic.

But words cannot attempt to describe the new cd. All I can say is it is the best death metal album I've listened to in my life.

  • Dude this song right here is art, Those Whom The Gods Detest is full of crap.

  • I thought TWTGD was their best work yet. Utterances of the Crawling Dead and Iskander D'hul Karnon bring out the speed and brutality in Nile, and the title song really brings out the musicianship.

Their older works (such as this one) are alright, but they seem a little bland. The vocals sound raspy and incomprehensible and the riffs sound a little too basic. But then again that's just me. I love their works such as Sarcophagus, Ruins and ETGMD.

  • Oh well I guess since I started listening to their old songs I can't really appreciate the 'new' Nile.

  • Not to mention TWTGD actually has good production quality (I'm talking to you, Ithyphallic...)

And "The Eye Of Ra" has one of Nile's most blistering intros ever.

  • i agree

  • agree with you :D

  • What kind of guitar is the guitar at :32 ? It's freaking sweet.

  • Dean V Nile Custom

  • custom KxK WarriorV

  • this sounds like a combo of slayer and cannibal corpse

    which is a good thing

  • It doesn't sound like anything, because these guys are unique.

  • What the f*ck where is that damn flute solo with the guitar this is not the whole song at all that is gay put the whole song on if your even going to make a movie!

  • I know what you mean dude, seriously what is the point of cutting parts out of a song anyways?

  • I have this on the beginning cd and it is imo one of Nile best, brilliant, epic song

  • Nile are gods of technical death metal.

  • they r also brutal death metal along side tdm

  • Tech Death and Brutal Death are brother genres, almost always if a band fits into one they fit into the other.

  • 'Brother Genres', whats that mean? Technical Death Metal sounds far different than Brutal Death Metal.

  • It just a term I used to describe it, tech death of course meaning to be technical or complex is often mixed into brutal death. Because drastic changes and fast tempos tend to be brutal, not always. But most of the time. Obscura, The Faceless, Anata are some non-brutal death tech bands. But think of all the brutal tech death bands out their, Nile, Origin, Defeated Sanity, Disgorge, Wormed, Cryptopsy, Suffocation, Exhumed, Grotesque, Necrophagist and shitloads more.

  • ive seen nile two timeor there times at vnios inarkansa.

hay i dont. nkow what the dispute was between vinos. and nile is but you guys have got to check out the downt town music hall. its just down the orad much biger club , cooler club than vinos.

  • seriously if u fucks cant listen to nile o dont lyk em stfu plzzz...they rock mannnn life timee

  • nile is the shit

  • shut the fuck up ass hole shit fucks like u piss me off shrimp dick

  • great example of slow dirty heavy fat and ugly bastard song ! sarcophagus has most similar to the riff

  • Woah almost clean lyrics from Nile I wasnt expectin this kinda a ruff mix when was this recorded?

  • I don't know when it was recorded but the EP it was on was released in 1995

  • whoa, I can hear the bass. Win.

  • FUCKIN'METAL \m/

  • easy to understand try mayhems deathcrush

  • They make there music so epic with the Egyption sound its just amazing

  • 1:02 wow have enough guitars?

  • This song has really great riffs

  • how many guitars do they fucking want xD

  • YES! the double neck guitar was so sick

  • WOOOOT

  • \m/

  • I CALL TO THE MOON... AND SIN1!!!! fuckin amazin vox why dont they do it in more of their songs?

  • ah shit sorry i meant for this comment to be for another vid but my computer is slow as fuck and my mouse is gay as hell so i guess i clicked something without realizing it and i guess i thought the page just reloaded/refreshed and commented on this one my bad

  • which vid?

  • Comment removed

  • The picture is the album cover for Amongst The Catacombs but the song is from the album Festivals Of Atonement... o.O

  • They re-released the song (and extended it i think). The version from In The Beginning is over 8 minutes long.

  • This song is sooooo boring. They have much better songs then this.

  • Is this black metal?

  • far far from it.

  • No need to thumb me down for not being a metal expert.

  • sorry dude, it's just black metal is really different. i don't think that was even me who thumbed you down, but yea. if you wanna hear some black metal, look up tsjuder and gorgoroth, or bathory/ celtic frost for older stuff.

if you're interested. those first two are really good.

  • I went and listened to some black metal. . .it wasn't very good compared to death

  • yea i prefer death metal allll the way, but there are elements of black metal that i definitely love ass well. but yea dude death's a lot more interesting.

  • funny thing is, i used to hate death metal (mainly the vocals) but somehow i grew to like it, even though i STILL can't understand the vocals

  • It's not about understanding the vocals mate.

  • I know

  • If ppl complain about vocals so much they should look it up on google

  • theres actually some i can understand for example lashed to the slavestick i can sing along to it especially after reading the lyrics liike once while listening to it now i dont need the lyrics anymore

  • k dude

  • his track rules too bad it is not full album length

  • nile rocks and rolls

  • whoa, he used clean vocals for a second, was that karl?

this song sounds a lot like von unaussprechensie linen, or whatever its called, the last track off annihilation of the wicked. this ones better though.

  • Von unassprechlichen kulten.

It means: From unpronouncable cults in german but only with the addition of "as" as in Unas.

But this is a killertrack! Special vocals though

  • special vocals? what do you mean?

  • The vocals is not so deep and brutal as the usually are in Nile

  • Something I noticed--on the stuff off ov In the Beginning--you can REALLY tell that they are playing in such a low tuning. It's really low and chuggey. But on the newer stuff, it has the sound and dynamic ov a relatively higher tuning. Anyone else notice that?

  • Shit...shit...shit on my tits! I mean Festivals of Atonement not In the Beginning. Sorry xD

  • ov...do you masturbate to nergal lol

  • Hahahahaha I was in a black metal mood. I think I prefer random internet porn, dude. If the guys from Behemoth turned me on, It probably wouldn't be Nergal. I think he looks a little wonky. But don't we all. :P

  • when i was a wee lad i thought this band was pure shit, little did i know they r probably one of the most creative bands in existence (alongside infected mushrooms)

  • Not there best but still fucking hot!

  • Where's the rest of the song?

  • dude his double neck guitar is KILLER!

  • Nile with clean vocals. It's strange even if it's so brief. The gutteral vocals sound alot like Nergal from Behemoth.

  • I think that is Nergal, Karl Sanders plays a solo on Behemoth's apostasy album as well.

  • An awesome song, but really underrated.

  • WROUGHT
