Well, Volvo only cut the sale of the Volvo 240 because it was getting old...

The sales even up to its end was nothing short of spectacular and if it had been in production something tells me it would still have been selling pretty well.

Not often a model that old can remain in production.

These cars were made like a tank; the Volvo 2 series was a great car that was safe, and it would be reliable if you took care of it. Yes, it was a "box on wheels," but it was safe, and it's too bad they quit making it, because it was a fine car......

Lasted until 2002, actually "lasted" wasn't the right word. She just got sick of it after almost 20 years of having. She bought it new in 83
