people are using Diatomaceous Earth to get rid of bedbugs. if it'll kill worms/parasites internally, and bedbugs and fleas externaly? it'll kill lice. i wouldn't put in the hair. i did some in my daughters hair and it made it really dry. umm there ya have it how to get rid of lice my way. :D also get some tea tree oil and mix it with say almond oil..lightly condition the hair via hot oil treatment , good for your hair and lice hate tea tree oil.
Diatomaceous Earth is compelety natural (it's more or less mined from the ground) it's little shells of sealife that died out millions of years ago, the structure of the shells is sharp, it cuts open the bugs and they dehydrate to death. same for the eggs. i fed a tsp a day to my puppy's for worms and within 3 months they were were worm free. humans and animals can take this and it won't hurt you at all..however parasites get the ax. :D you can lightly dust pets to kill fleas.
you gotta wash all your clothing in really warm water, then use purex dryer sheets in the dryer. some chemical in the dryer sheets kills the bugs & eggs not to mention the heat of the dryer. if you have ANYTHING that has material on it, it must be either bagged, wahsed or vaccumed. get some stuff (also cheap) called Diatomaceous Earth. very VERY lightly dust your carpets , beds, pillows etc and either vaccum or even leave it. problem completely solved.
ya know what got rid of em permanent like? my doc finally figured out i wasn't going to chop all my kids hair off. know what got rid of em? petroleum jelly. yep. combed through her hair real good, combed through the petroleum jelly, put a shower cap on herand left it for 3 days, then washed my girls hair with a couple drops of dawn in her shampoo. I can tell you as a mom and also some one who had the unfortunate experiance having lice when I was a teen that the chinese bamboo combs work the best, they not only pull the bug our but the nits as well , you do need to have your hair with conditioner or some type of oil saturated in your hair while combing because the comb is ultrafine toothed, but it does work, make sure to wash all linens as well.
this is not true and it does not work, if you cannot afford shampoo then how can someone afford a water bill using hot water?? plus hair lice uses their own spit which acts like a glue, that they use to glue their eggs to the root of your hair follicle, no conditioner can get all those eggs out and loosen the glue in and on your hair. no way!!!

when i had lice once, what i did was very simple and VERY effective. living in a big family my mom had to do this for EVERYBODY. anyways, what you do is smother your hair with mayonnaise, yeah, mayonnaise, and then put plastic wrap over it very tightly and make sure there is no air bubbles, then put on a beanie so it will stay on over night. in the morning wash your hair THOROUGHLY. (if this doesn't help you you probably left in lots of air bubbles)

Its so fucking annoying. But why can't we blow dry?

And believe me I've tried shaving my hair off and it's really of no use. They stick to your head and thats the worst part. When your hair grow longer their eggs start hatching and WALAH! Your back to your scratching. And I really hate dandruff I can't get rid of that either any steps for that?

Hot shower? How many people out there have been scaulded by now? use the sink & don't let hot water touch the scalp. Try to find a bonnet hair dryer to cover your head & dry your hair. They hate heat & will be out of there in a second. Use a hot straightener from scalp to ends. Goodby you bugs from hell.

Ok, this video is full of shit. Don't advertise "Permanently" when if you get lice you have to do it AGAIN! Lice are nasty im 19 years old and ive NEVER had it! Wash your hair. easy solution. If your kid has lice, then make them take showers more often and keep your scalp clean. dumbass's.

@KotaXKutieXBear Sorry to say but lice are attracted to clean hair you have the right idea (sort of) to prevent dont frecuently wash your hair and if you do have lice buy a treatment and comb them out also after you do seven days later do the same prociduer

people are using Diatomaceous Earth to get rid of bedbugs. if it'll kill worms/parasites internally, and bedbugs and fleas externaly? it'll kill lice. i wouldn't put in the hair. i did some in my daughters hair and it made it really dry. umm there ya have it how to get rid of lice my way. :D also get some tea tree oil and mix it with say almond oil..lightly condition the hair via hot oil treatment , good for your hair and lice hate tea tree oil.

Diatomaceous Earth is compelety natural (it's more or less mined from the ground) it's little shells of sealife that died out millions of years ago, the structure of the shells is sharp, it cuts open the bugs and they dehydrate to death. same for the eggs. i fed a tsp a day to my puppy's for worms and within 3 months they were were worm free. humans and animals can take this and it won't hurt you at all..however parasites get the ax. :D you can lightly dust pets to kill fleas.

you gotta wash all your clothing in really warm water, then use purex dryer sheets in the dryer. some chemical in the dryer sheets kills the bugs & eggs not to mention the heat of the dryer. if you have ANYTHING that has material on it, it must be either bagged, wahsed or vaccumed. get some stuff (also cheap) called Diatomaceous Earth. very VERY lightly dust your carpets , beds, pillows etc and either vaccum or even leave it. problem completely solved.

ya know what got rid of em permanent like? my doc finally figured out i wasn't going to chop all my kids hair off. know what got rid of em? petroleum jelly. yep. combed through her hair real good, combed through the petroleum jelly, put a shower cap on herand left it for 3 days, then washed my girls hair with a couple drops of dawn in her shampoo. POOF buggies gone, eggs killed. done

louse like cleaner hair better than dirty hair, so doing this will increase your scratching if you did not get all the louse out. if you have lice, skip showers for like 2 days and if you do wash your hair, wash it with special louse killers, but ask a friend or parent to do it for you. after you do that, comb out your hair with a louse comb or comb with very small brstle things. then after that, just drown your head in vinigar and leave it on, then put a shower cap on and sleep. it works so gr8

I had lice for several months, unable to get of them, went to doctors, couldn't kill them,..So I took MALATHION, from Home Depot, Poured a tablespoon into bathwater, did the same a week later..killed evey fu%^ing one of these fuc&*rs!!!

@jkbmustang . It did not affect my hair color. I had been fighting these lice, mites for a year and a half. I tried everything!!! Vaseline, hot baby oil, hor blow drying, lice medication, rid, nix, even tried touching an electric fence!!!! The doctors couldn't get rid of them!!!! Couldn't slee[p at night because of the horrible itching...THAT MALATHION from Home Depot...just a tablespoon in bathwater killed those mother fu$%ers!! I had finally had relief!

@inger85gg try to use conditioner and use hair straightener to them use the headlice comb orr if it doesnt work boil a water and put ur hair there including ur scalp but not ur whole hair (i havent tried that) but im pretty sure the hair straightener is effective...

I can tell you as a mom and also some one who had the unfortunate experiance having lice when I was a teen that the chinese bamboo combs work the best, they not only pull the bug our but the nits as well , you do need to have your hair with conditioner or some type of oil saturated in your hair while combing because the comb is ultrafine toothed, but it does work, make sure to wash all linens as well.

this is not true and it does not work, if you cannot afford shampoo then how can someone afford a water bill using hot water?? plus hair lice uses their own spit which acts like a glue, that they use to glue their eggs to the root of your hair follicle, no conditioner can get all those eggs out and loosen the glue in and on your hair. no way!!!

when i had lice once, what i did was very simple and VERY effective. living in a big family my mom had to do this for EVERYBODY. anyways, what you do is smother your hair with mayonnaise, yeah, mayonnaise, and then put plastic wrap over it very tightly and make sure there is no air bubbles, then put on a beanie so it will stay on over night. in the morning wash your hair THOROUGHLY. (if this doesn't help you you probably left in lots of air bubbles)
