Okay people. In the beginning of the anime, Gin's eyes were red BECAUSE THE COLOR OF HIS EYES HAD NOT YET BEEN REVEALED BY THE MANGA. by the time this part of the anime came out, his eyes were shown to be light blue, so they were retconed blue.

@HowAreChu When they did the scene in the anime, Kubo had not yet drawn a coloured picture of Gin with his eyes open (which are actually this pale blue-ish colour in the vid above) so they made his eyes red because...red eyes are kinda badass? :p One of the later manga covers then featured Gin with the pale blue eyes. This is at least what I read somewhere.
