I was 12 when MK1 came out, loved it, played MK2 and UMK3, loved them, stopped giving a shit completely about the series because MK4 sucked ass, and then regained interest with Shaolin Monks and MK9.

However, being exposed to the blood and fatalities didn't make me a crazed psychopath... True, there should be an age limit to the games, but by the age of, say, 9 or 10, most boys should be able to handle it...

I think the parents were more traumatized by the games than the kids honestly...

MK2 was that shit.. I spent too much money on this game. My only gripe was that certain characters had to be used on Player 2 side just to stand a chance against the CPU. Also i love the multiple babalities into a friendship.
