I believe that if the public realizes that homeless people are real people with real stories and not just problems to be ignored perhaps they will force the politicians to end this unnecessary travesty once and for all. It is a proven fact that the cost of housing every homeless person in the country is far less than the cost of the burgeoning homeless industry that has grown in response to the situation.
I remain free of drugs, but my health is failing rapidly.
I had loads of stuff, lost it, due to bad choices, but everywhere I turned, I could not get help because there were too many road blocks. Now, I am guess I am lucky. I live like a servant to my boyfriend. I still may be a little bit cute, but I am lucky to get $5.00 for an entire month. He has loads of money and doesn't care if I am tired and ill. As long as he knows what I am going to make for dinner. I guess I'm lucky I have a roof and food as he is never neglectful in reminding me.

You are an artist, a writer, a survivor...Also there are homeless people out on the streets because of the economy- people are losing their homes, caused by bad credit, divorce, spouse abuse- thanks for sharing your life with the world- it is what the world needs to hear!
