Thanks for this! Had a problem with one of my turntables skipping on cue for a while, tried setting the anti-skip and tone arm to the recommended setting but it didn't make a difference, tried this trick with the paper and problem solved. The needle still moves a little compared to the other turntable but no more skipping.
Indeed a working fix. Don't like to see paper sticking out near the gimbal but I have to say this really works. Awesome idea and thanks for sharing this minor mod.
@demon3130 This mod puts too rest all the Stanton 150/superOEM loose tonearm haters
This COMPLETELY solves all loose tonearm problems, also loosen the tonearm cue arm riser screw so the arm is always on the rest when playing on the record-removes all vibration -totally skipproof on all tables from Technics to stanton 150/superOEMS.
This was some great advice. I was on youtube for a couple of hours trying to look for solutions on why my 1200 mk2 was skipping. I tried a few things but couldn't solve the problem. How ever, the Stockholm Arm Lock did the trick !!! I'm grateful for finding your video. Thanks-A-Lot bro !!!!
Thank you very much, finally solved my problem with couple of Stanton t 92.
