@countrynativedipper Most likely that viper "1000" is way over rated. It probably puts out alot less than 1000 watts rms. But I'm not framiliar with the brand so i'm not sure.

@memodedonachuy I have two Punch 1000-1bd, 1ohm stable and they are by far the best amps I have ever had...I have NEVER had a problem with it even after I played my system for 6 hours straight from 3/4 volume to max at a competition

@LordPS3 It depends on the amount of space you are working with and also the amount of power you will have...I myself am getting rid of the 4 P3s and upgrading to 4 T1s and gonna have 1000 to each (4 punch 1000s), I'm working with a total of 81/2 cubic feet for the box (chambered in 2 41/4)

I'm planning on having about 2500-3000rms total (don't have the amp picked out yet). i would want to do 4 T1s as well, but my budget prevents me from doing all the necessary stuff to supply the amount power they would need. i'm still in high school. can't get a good enough job yet. haha

@gdubz2013 It depends..if your covers are boed then no it won't be sealed..none of mine are boed in, however you do have the option of getting a wall box that goes in the factory slot

have you ever metered it? i have 4 12 p2's and they hit 141.6db. im just wondering what kinda difference there is. nice truck and good choice of subs and amps. sounds good.

@92fatback I didn't meter them in this truck, however I did switch the system to another truck, Ext F150 and burped it at 147 and cruised with it at 143.7 for 6 1/2 hours straight at a competition, the only thing that went wrong was my highs amp, a power T400-4, it smoked itself. Rockford took care of everything

@DarkTinman Yea I know I could but I like running rms power that was until I talked to a Rockford rep and he said that all RF product rms ratings are based on a 24hr period...that being said I have purchased the all new T1D412 and two more punch 1000s I am just waiting for the T1s to be shipped next month when they are released

@DarkTinman No no no T1s...it's Rockford power series not punch...but yea the ms on a 24 period is the speaker will slam on the rms wattage for 24 hours so I figured since they will be 800 rms they will handle 1000 for a few hours no prob...loom is the stuff use the cover up the visible colors of the wires like what you see under your hood from the factory, it's black and is cut so you can slide it on your wires

Well technically speaking assuming all four p3s are dual 4 ohmVC, then in series to 1 ohm it would only be 1000 rms I know it does sound right but it's true, when you series a speaker that has dual 4 ohmVC and 500watts rms then you just halfed the rms watts to 250x4 speakers..your best bet is to parrallel 2 speaker to 1ohm on a 1ohm stable 1000rms have one amp per set

The way it is, is the way it was designed. The cab and bed are one without the back wall although the tailgate moves the way it does because of the pressure all in all I don't have it in this truck anymore I have it in my ext cab f150 that im rewiring video will be on soon
