Does punkbuster need to be running to use the ingame chat feature?

for the ingame chat the port needs to be different from your server port. A random port should work fine.

Ok this might sound stupid, but i can't figure out what "Port " number to use. i read that it musn't be the same as the server you log in to, but it didn't have some further explanations about what kind of number to use on Port, is it just a random one? Please Help

@BGShinobi hey :) i can tell you i used a random port and it worked just fine. you want to try any number 4915265535 as these ports aren't so likely to be already used :).

I think I was reading somewhere on the cod rcon tool forums that A certain cod game+a low version of that game wont support in game chat.

Um I really dont know much about punkbuster/pbucon file. If you want you can post on the codrt forums and see if other people can help you. ME and the other moderators will do our best to help you.

well i have try all kind of thigs but i look my server Punk Buster folder and i didnt find pbuncon file... so do i need to add that file on there?

well you dont just need to click next map,you need to actually restart the rcon with the saved information. and also make sure you are clicking on the ingame chat tab to see the messages

OK did you set up ingame chat with the ip and port? then save it,restart rcon and connect again?

your servers must be running punk buster because the pbuncon file is in the punk buster files when it's added to your server. So if you have punk buster you should already have it.

you need to edit those settings in your server config file. Also I don't think you can edit those settings without a mod. only the ones that restrict certain weapons or allow night vision. stuff like that
