Kermit would have had more success if he would have done this lecture in Warsaw. It's great to see these old clips from when Sesame Street was a great show instead of what it has become today.
Most monsters during the first 2 seasons just misbehave because they tease and runen lectures thats why Kermet is so tick off about the monsters ruening his letures
Funny when the 'poles' were moving randomly, making Kermit pissed and running away 'All RIGHT, I'M LEAVING!!' and when Kermit and Herry pop out with the mops and mop the brick wall laughing.
This can't be from Season 1, because Grover and Herry got their names in Season 2, Grover's fur is blue, Herry's nose is smooth, Jerry Nelson didn't join the cast until Season 2, and Kermit has more than 1 collar, this is probably during late Season 2. According to Muppet Wiki, the earliest known appearance of this sketch was Episode 268.
Not bad - but this one will come second to Kermit's first lecture on "Between". Won't say much, except that his demonstration involved a table - on which there was a phonograph record of the Beatles, a doughnut and a ping-pong ball - and an appearance by Beautiful Day Monster, with predictable results.
I might remember this. Anyway, the short musical score that is played after Grover and Herry talk about mopping the floor was very common in the early days of Sesame Street after the punchline of a joke or pun was recited (e.g. 'I always like to eat bacon with X!')
Does anyone have that sketch where a little skinny man muppet sings "In Betweeeeeeeeeeen. You know what I meeeeeeeaaaan." that Sesame Street did? When I was a kid, it scared the hell out of me. But I would love to see it today. He is inbetween two blue monsters I think??
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think this dates back to Season 3 because it looks like it was made on the same day they taped Kermit and Bob's lecture on frogs, and Bob's version of "People in Your Neighborhood" with the teachers and newsdealer. Nevertheless, I always thought this was one of the funniest skits they ever did for the show and I still think it is!
Okay, it would appear that I am wrong. According to the CTW Archives, the earliest appearance of this clip goes back to Episode 268, which is still part of the second season! This seems odd to me, because as jonnytbirdzback said, Kermit wasn't supposed to make appearances in the show anymore after Season 1, so a new deal regarding Kermit's appearances must have been made during Season 2.
This looked like it came from the second season because of Herry's blue nose and it's odd though Kermit never made an appearance during the second season. He was substituted by Herbert Birdsfot during that time.
haha. kermit gives a lecture to the poles on proper pole positioning. YAYYYYY!

There's another 'lecture' where Kermit explains 'between' with a donut, pingpong ball and a Beatles record to Beautiful Day Monster.

I don't like Herry. They should bring back the Beautiful Day Monster.

I'm still scared of him.

Weird.

@SimplyChristine14 Are you sure? Kermit sounds more American to me. (As you all know, his original performer, Jim Henson, was an American puppeteer.)

Ah! PROOF that Kermit appeared at the end of season 2 of "Sesame Street!"

It's misunderstandings like these that cause the Frogs to mistrust the Poles.

You know what? I'd rather be bothered by monsters than being bothered by poles

It's funny how he seems to be embarrased at the fact when the pole first moved he denies it by saying he made a mistake.

Herry: Aw. Kermit went away.
Grover: He did not even thank us for mopping the floor

The 'poles' are making fun of kermit. In reality, its monster and grover teasing poor kermit while moping the floor.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Those chain-like sound effects are so annoying and patronising. Besides, they make no sense considering the reason why the poles moved.
