I love how at 0.32, after the kiss, when Angel proceeds to grope Nene, he actually butts him in the nose with his gun (accident or scripted?). Nene is in such a state of blissful haze even this feels good (or Sbaraglia is actually cracking up). I also love how Nene briefly licks his lips after kissing Angel. Such a deliciously naughty little gesture.

Yeah, I agree. Its pretty much my favorite part of the movie :P What tops it off is what Nene said right around that time. A simple yet profound line, "you just lean on me and I get a hard one."

i thought that it was so amazing with siouxsie becuase of their situation it kind of made more sense...this song is just kind of "average"...still fantastic, but siouxsie was so much more powerful and reflected more of their relationship...but it was amazing, my favorite love movie of all time and of course Thank yoiu Drewsarichfangirl for making such a fantastic tribute!

Actually you can't really hear what Nene said but for what Angel said to him: Always , what did you expect?We are nearly there , we are almost there , in a few minutes we'll be far from here , You'll see , how far away we'll be .

Probably ask him if he would die with him or something of the sort .

He definitely whispers "te quiero tanto" (I love you so much), the German sub even caught this (even if the English didn't), but the next words are harder to make out. The last word he whispers is "morir" (dying). So my own interpretation is the same as drewsarerichfangirl, he probably asks Angel if he'll join him in death. If you want to put a more romantic spin on it, you could say that he asks Angel to share eternity with him ;)

Actually (and remember that this film is an adaptation of a book which was based in a true story) it's said that the real Angel (Marcos Dardo) was taken out of the apartment after being shot, but he made it to the hospital. He died a year after of the final events you see in this film, in prison.

Wasn't Mereles (Cuervo) the one who actually survived the attack? I've read some differing accounts. I'm pretty sure I read there were police reports that confirmed that

Brignone and Dorda were found dead, in a state of undress, and holding hands,

as being shown in the movie.

The Piglia book (which I suppose is the one you're referring to) is a work of fiction too, and as such no more authentic than the movie. There is some confusion as to who actually survived this ordeal, and for how long.

This Movie was true, it happened in the late sixties in Bolivia. It's an excellent movie though very sad, it has the Bonnie and Clyde effect. Even though you know they are criminals you fall for them anyway........good viewing.

sorry mate but even in the movie when this crime boss is thinking to give them the job he has second thoughts on them because he knows about them.Everybody cares about your sexuality especially if u are attractive and non effeminate.I didn't say that they didn't exist,i'm just saying that the underworld will never accept a gay person as a professional killer!It's a fact.Only if the crime lord himself is gay..lol.And only in few cases str8 let someone gay advance that much,even in the underworld.

That would be 100% right,mmmm.. well Swoon would be the most similar that I can think of right now, kind of arty movie but defenetly a good one, based on the very famous Leopold & Loeb criminals and so called genius boys , that shock America with their crime.

That is actually my fave scene - the wallpaper scene and then when Leo holds him - gives me goosebumps as Angel gradually tightens his grip on Nene's hand.
