Because this is a different recording, Eminem was given another take in which 2pac only did 2 verses, the other verses were rapped by another rapper, it was made for an MTV Christmas album, in fact the intro used to be "This christmas, Hit em with a little Ghetto Gospel".
because he was down to earth guy, that avoided cameras fame and spotlight. the scnario were eminem prosuced the loyal to the game was really tragedy. he wanted to show everybody that he not only top rapper, but also a top producer. which turn out to be a disaster, all a the expense of pac material and legacy.

Yo, I give respect what Em did, I mean what he was trying to do was give Pac's message and spirit with a new sound. They are both artist and both pieces of music are brilliant
@josephkeogh99 They're coming out with a new album this year, or next called "Pure" they have over 12 songs, or 12 songs left and the new owners of Death Row(Suge lost it) plan to just release it without any editing. They just have to make sure the quality is good, you know without the static.
@damann Lol, I know you made this 3 months ago so my bad. But Eminem made Pac's voice faster, which made him sound how he used to sound when he was younger. However, Eminem screwed up the editing, he should have made the tempo faster and drop the pitch. He only made Pac's tempo faster because he wanted to force it to match with the instrumental, which was screwed up. Having said that though, other than Pac's vocal sound, the released version was pretty damn good, the Piano & Elton John helping.
I like the way the remix sounds but I will never listen to it. I won't support Eminem making money off Tupac's message while never leting the world hear all of his lyrics (they didn't just remix the song, they took out a large part of Pac's lyrics for fuck's sake). You can't justify shorting his message up just so the song will sound better. Tupac intended it to be this way so it should be this way. It's his work and he would have never allowed this had he been alive today.
dude eminem didnt make money off this album he wrote a letter to afeni shakur asking if he could produce the album out of massive respect for tupac. eminem will have more respect for tupac than u will ever have
Sure he might have respect for him but I don't think he should change his songs. He left out a huge part of Pac's lyrics in Ghetto Gospel, he cut out part of Tupac's message to the world.
i think the eminem remix flows better and is more appealing to the world as a huge hit (which it was, and everyone i know remembers it) while still producing a great message ('its not about black or white coz were human' and 'everyones ashamed of the youth coz the truth looks strange') and the remix's lyrics hit harder and you can hear them better. but some of the album sucked because slims beats didnt go that great with pac's lyrics.
It might sound better to your ears but this is not the song Tupac made, and it's sold as a Tupac song. I think ALL of Tupac's song should be published in their original form because that's how he made them and who are we to fuck with that? There's no arguing that Tupac would have never allowed Eminem to do this had he been alive now.
true but it doesnt matter coz we have a choice to listen to whatever we want and we are lucky we have the original pac songs. if tupac would be alive now he wouldnt need people to remix his songs because he would be making his own lol so yer i think hes looking down from heaven with respect for eminem
You don't understand, if it was up to Amaru and Eminem all we would have had was the remix and we would have never heard the original... these song are leaked, not published.
My source is that they never released these songs but released remixes instead. It's as simple as that. If they would have released to original songs on one cd and remixes on another we would have a choice, but they didn't do that because everyone would buy the originals and other artists wouldn't make money off of it.
@boligrapho i never said it was bettter jesus christ. i just said eminems version is better as a pop hit. this is obviosly the more complete and better version because its the original classic
he recorded 2 versions of this song before loyal to the game repackaged his vocals, Pac was a song fiend..he constantly recorded different versions of his songs in different ways. There's a whole different version of Holla If Ya Hear Me out there that doesn't have a single word similar to the one he released for public consumption (except for his chorus of course) but even that was slightly altered.
the remixed version left out 2 verses. And it changes the whole mood of the song. I dont understand why people tamper with 2pac music. I really dont suggest that people buy that remixed bullshit I collecting OGs for years now

the eminem one is better face it, i am the biggest pac fan i know but pacs music is about the lyrics and in this song i can hardly hear him speak but atleast in the remix his voice is clear
y didnt eminem added the third and the last verse. i love both of the ghetto gospel version.

Slowing Pac's voice on the relased version is an insult to him. We wanna hear how Pac said it, not the version Eminem raped.
