You ARE absolutely right. this is one one beautiful song..I love this song. I bought the album after hearing this. I am Figuring and analyzing this song and concluded that it's about someone struggle with alcoholism or other substance and implores god to help him/her with abstaining from alcohol and or substance...Spaceman = "God" .
